How Can We Develop Africa By 2050? by joeloseiga: 12:17pm On Sep 08, 2018 |
As young African people, in what ways can we strengthen co-operation and trade across African countries ? How can we ensure that by 2050, not only do we still have an Africa that isn’t owned by any foreign power but one that has grown economically with increased trade relations within the continent? With what recently happened in Zambia where China might be taking over their national power grid due to their inability to pay up debts. If we do not consciously seek to grow the continent, we will be the ones suffering in our 60s! Our children also! Please share your ideas. |

Leadership! Leadership!! Leadership!!! We are currently in a situation where the worst of us are leading the rest of us. This needs to be reversed. The best of us need to lead the rest of us. 1 Like |

joeloseiga: As young people your reach will be limited by the level of resources at your command. So you will need leverage. Here is where the internet comes in. Nairaland, for example, has done a good job of connecting Africans, say from East and Southern Africa, with West Africans. I just wish petty bloggers will feed us less with sensational stories from that end. I wish to see cooperation across borders amongst young ones to improve their economic/social situation and in turn that of their communities. So in short: lets use the internet more productively as a tool to boost connectivity. (If one can afford it pays to travel as well to see other African civilizations and people. The altered world view it gives is priceless) 2 Likes |
