tbaba1234: Did u notice the expression on Ighalo's face after Awaziem scored. Dude was frowning. He probably was expecting Awaziem to lay the pass to him so he could score into an empty net. 1 Like |

tbaba1234:Yes different opinions. Ekong making Chelsea? Oh you forget the same guy failed to make age grade Tottenham. He failed to make it in Belgium. Also at tail end of Turkish liga he lost his place. Good for him at Udinese and am happy seeing him week in week out. But my man Omeruo is better Russia WC showed the difference between Omeruo and Ekong. 2 Likes |

WAFU 17 qualifiers: Gha1:1 Togo . HT. This is the result both teams need to make it to the next round. I said it pages back that these two team can possibly strike an accord and play 1:1. Na just to do kick about for second half remain. |

well you rating omeruo is understandable cus you have already insinuated he is your man. ekong won few man of the match awards when he returned on loan to gent where he played over 20 matches that season before he left for bursaspor. his form in bursaspor made gent regret letting him go so cheap and if he wasn't good as you labeled him a bench warmer during the tail end of the season how did he attract a decent club as udinese in a top league as the serie A?he moved to the italian club few weeks ago and have been a mainstay in the heart of their defense, can omeruo get game time in udinese? Kog45: Ekong has improved tremendously since his youth days and in my opinion has surpassed Omeruo. Look at the progression of both careers. Ekong has moved to better clubs every other season. He went to Udinese and picked a starting shirt. Omeruo has not yet played a game for Leganes and failed to make the team a few times. To the WC, Omeruo was outstanding against Iceland but also committed a dangerous error in that game. He was also caught on his blind side against Argentina for the Messi goal. Omeruo was not great in that match. Ekong made 2 mistakes against Croatia but improved in subsequent games. In my opinion, right now Ekong has surpassed Omeruo. Omeruo undoing was staying too long in Chelsea and going to loans to Turkey. He should be the undisputed leader of the defence now. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Highlight of the game. Balogun remains our best CB. Ighalo finally scores(happy for him and commends the team for allowing him to take the spot kick) Musa remains our only threat going forward. Nacho had an improved performance. 1 Like |

I'm really hoping that Isaac success gets a lot of playing time and some goals before the next international break. Maybe that will make Rohr bench ighalo... I gathered that he (Rohr) is a fan of success |

you must be kidding me bro judging by caps earned by both players in the national team omeruo is suppose to be a colossal figure in the heart of our defense. he has played in the nations cup and won it and have featured in 2 world cups yet ekong with lesser caps, tournament experience and exposure have improved more than him. in terms of national team achievements omeruo has an upper hand because he came into the fray 2 years before ekong stepped up. when omeruo was on loan in the dutch league with ado den haag, ekong was playing 2nd tier football in the colors of dordrecht who he gained promotion with the next season. but so far who have progressed more? charlesemeka85: Beats me ooo my brother. Like Udinese will just go for any Tom, DIck and Harry to man their Central Defence (in Italian Serie A). If Omeruo was better, why is he still warming the bench for Leganes (as a perennial Loanee). Beats me mhen 7 Likes 1 Share |

Icon4s: Yes I could also notice his influence like the way they pressed which was something they didn't do in Uyo but I guess these are early days and the hope would be that the players get to know the coach better as time goes on. Btw I am just imagining how bad Lesotho would feel hearing that a draw against them was so bad that a coach had to be fired |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by charlesemeka85(m): 6:24pm On Sep 08, 2018 |
if the national team is blessed with decent central defenders omeruo will be no where near the national team currently. i am not really judging him by not been able to make leganes match day squad often because the season is still very young but his inability to progress as a lot of us thought that he would. darkelf: 2 Likes |

ChrisKels: A lesson to be learnt. Don't feel you are too indispensable that you can't be replaced. If you feel you'll hold a country of 180M people, then someone must be playing cruel tricks on your psyche. Moses in for Kalu (very big shoes to fill if I may be honest) I hope to see more from Kalu though. It's just Seychelles anyways. |

charlesemeka85: Me too bro. But mhen, that dude has been on loan for too long. Isn't that a testament to the fact that he is not making progress? For now, Ekong is miles ahead and if we had a different coach, he may not make the SE team. Same goes for Idowu (aka one hit wonder) 5 Likes |
