ogbevireo: Thanks for your swift response @ogbevireo. If you don't mind, can you help with an ACS Project report sample or something. Though from distance, the Project Report Form seems not that complex in conjuction with the CBOK but a guide will be appreciated anytime. Can i pm you in this regard? @ogbevireo and other elders here, i seem to have a concern (just like some other people) with this "tough restrictions/conditions" regarding ICT Occupations especially for subclass 190/489. Please what is your thought and kindly advise on my "case scenario 1" in the earlier post. No vex for my quest abeg. Thanks |

jayooh: I was reffering to issuing of ITA, not Grants; although ITA & Grants quickness comes with luck. But if one is dogged enough, goodlucks can be made out of badlucks. |

netmycs: Sure! You can send a pm. For scenario 1, I would say from the experience of others who have gone through TRA, you may be unto something there. Just research and dig through this and the old thread for the TRA stuff. |

- Hello guys, I have the following skills and experience ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS see below the breakdown of my profile and advise Age = 25 points Education = B.Sc and M.Sc. B.Sc = Computer Science = 2006 M.Sc = Computer Science = 2014 Experience = 10 years = 15 points English = yet to be taken I understand that if I apply with M.Sc, they will deduct some yrs from my experience(As is assumed you can't work and study at the same time). so based on this, I want to apply with only B.Sc. My Question is: what is the possibility of getting the maximum point (15 ) for education with a 4 years program in computer science (School = UNN)? thanks for your response |
Case Scenario 3 Should i use B.Eng plus RPL to be assessed by ACS for 263111 or 263212? Has anyone in the house been given positive assessment through RPL route before? The above is your best case scenario. 263111 is a very competitve occupation even for 489 , 190 If you can get reference for the whole 10yrs as claimed, ACS will take what they can and you will still have some points to claim.. at least 5 B.ENG will give you 15 points Age is 25 Eng= 20 is a must Likely total is 65 Do you have any certificate from Cisco or Microsoft, this may also help reduce number of years ACS removes |

Declare all your qualifications ACS do slash experience like hell, You can work while studying that's not an issue. All IT jobs are closely related my advice is IT is very competitive so Do an assessment that the job is on MLTSSL. Forget all these ones ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Explore---->computer and system engineers Analyst programmer etc. 189 options mostly. 190 is competitive to get a nomination, some require job offer. who wan offer overseas resident job offer in IT.

@Alphadoor, thank you very much for the insight. If i get you right, it seems you are suggesting i should nominate 263212 (ICT Support Engineer) as against 263111 due to its competitiveness. |

Thanks, bros for your reply. Just to be more clear. are you saying I should apply using B.Sc, then after the assessment, during EOI, I will now include my M.Sc. if that is what u meant, I ask again, will they accept it when it has not gone through the usual assessment? Secondly, which between TRA and ACS which one should I go for. I mean which is likely to give me a more +ve assessment? Cos I have experience in all the mentioned roles below ICT Customer Support Officer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ICT Support and Test Engineers nec (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS ICT Support Technicians nec ( 190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) TRA ICT Systems Test Engineer (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S)) ACS Systems Administrator (190, 407, 489 (S/T), TSS (S) )ACS |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by Alphadoor: 5:19pm On Sep 09, 2018 |
mostouc:Yes it will be accepted, however to clear any doubt you can access the msc only with VETASSES, this way you will have a document to backup your claim. TRA OR ACS is upto you last last. I have given my take earlier on ACS I don't have much info on TRA pattern 1 Like |

Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by trastar(f): 9:21pm On Sep 09, 2018 |
mostouc: Like someone has earlier said, if you are going for ACS, pick an occupation that is on 189 list not just 190. Your experience can easily align with 263111. I don't know why you assume that assessing with MSC will mean deduction of more years than bsc. That is false. ACS is easier, cheaper and more straightforward too. Read and digest everything on ACS websiite. ire o 1 Like |
