Let thier fans deal with that. We deal with our own issues. Or don’t we have bigger team to compare ourselves with post-WC? Switzerland beat Iceland by how many goals?

Thank you.
In addition, Cameroon would still qualify as host even if they finish bottom of log.

Using the bench mark of Rohr who has called a B team player from Porto.

In this regard there is justification for his call up Porto and Liverpool are not on the same level.

Add to the fact that Bobby Adekanya is the most outstanding player in Liverpool U23 arguably. Then he should be invited.

My opinion is the same as yours he has to go on loan and prove himself in the game first and or make Liverpool first team. But Rohr and NFF terms of selection create the rationale for his call up.

In as much I support the invitation of best legs, it is also good to know that what's matters most is 'WINNING'. If Rohr chooses to call NNL players, I don't care much as far as he's getting the needed results

Gambian fans were on the stadium running track, extremely close to the pitch for Gambia's match vs. Algeria.

the match was delayed an hour and was finally played in these conditions with the fans close to the pitch

unbelievable in 2018 sad sad sad

Hahahaha! Algerian fans go dey fear to score not to talk of winning. The fear of being mobbed is the beginning of wisdom. grin grin grin

That team just came from relegation and as bad as their pitch is, it's not to be compared with those farmlands I'm talking about.

What does relegation have to do with anything? We always make excuses for Europeans and bring down ourselves.
Tell that to someone who didn't watch both matches. Did u see a single player fall trying to take a shot with a patch of grass always coming out at every challenge? The pitch Barcelona played on was worst than anything we have seen this weekend.

ROHR ON PITCH FOR LIBYA MATCH

''We are only one point behind and we are hosting so we have to win this game. In these two games against Libya, we have to get at least four points, so we have to win,''

''I don't know where we will play because we need a good pitch, a large pitch where we can play our football against a team which did a good job today in South Africa.

''That's why we need a good pitch to play our football for our wingers, for our technical football. We need a good pitch, I hope that we will have it in Nigeria.''

Just because black people are near the pitch doesn't mean something bad will happen. Abi are there tracks in the EPL? When Akwa went to Gambia they had nothing but good things to say about the fans.

Where did the write Ekong was a bench warmer in Turkey?

Na wa for you ooo.
Thank you i think he later got the cleared picture of my view.

Sometimes we just need to roll in maturity in football analysis here.

I did not say Ekong was a bench warmer.

I don't know Omeruo but surprisedly am Ekong hater for stating my opinion.

Respect to tbaba1234,thegoodjoe and Mujtahida for their coolness and high sense of maturity.

I learnt that Liberia organized the friendly match in honor of George Weah #14 and they plan to retire his jersey number.

Got few quick questions:
1. Will FIFA allow the Liberia team to ommit a certain jersey number in a case where they qualify for a major football event like the world cup.
2. In relation to question 1 above will they increase their jersey number to 24 if granted the permission by FIFA.

This reminds me of Okwaraji's jersey number 6 that was said to be retired but was later seen worn by subsequent generations of players.

Humility baba remember we lost at home to South Africa.

All we need is 4 points and better to have it than missing out again.

I have always defended him here..

but with these one...It pissed me off.
why aim for the moon when you can get the sky...

the Arab guys are beatable home and away....
can't he inspire the boys for once and aim for something better.....
the south Africans we lost against....was partly reason because he screwed up....I expect mikel to be available in the next match...

we need a creative No 10 nancho for now can always play as a striker....his finishing and positioning are far much better than ighalo...

let iwobi play the 10 role and sometimes him and nancho can both swap roles depwnding on who is with the ball....

but the naughty coach will never learn.

Cameroon retired Vivian Foe's number 17 jerseys till date. So Liberia have the right to reserve George Weah's number 14 Jersey.

AFRICAN ALL STARS
The Super Eagles gaffer has extended invites to few home-based players for the warm-up clash against Thomas Kojo’s side

Ebube Duru, Mfon Udoh, Olamilekan Adeleye and Sunday Adetunji have all been called up for Nigeria’s international friendly against Liberia on Tuesday, September 11.

Gernot Rohr opted to offer the Nigeria Professional Football League stars another opportunity to test themselves against the foreign-based players.
The new invitees will join 21 Super Eagles players on their return to Lagos from Victoria, where they defeated Seychelles 3-0 in Saturday's 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifying encounter.

Good thing just like against Cameroon we are playing them back to back. It means our qualification is right in our hands.

And good evening bro. The Eaglets and Super Eagles made sure I had a good weekend. Family is good too and yours?
