Icon4s: My preference would be for Finidi , he has had a very successful career with considerable financial benefits. He has been doing quite well in terms of coaching in Spain as well. He is not hungry and looking for food. Most Nigerian coaches do not lack capacity and ability but lack integrity in the context of the NFF. |

Earthquake1: Why must we convert Musa to a striker when Kayode Olanrewaju, Nwakaeme Dessers are strikers of Nigerian origin? Has the national team turned to family business that no outsiders are welcomed. Remove Ighalo, Iheanacho and Simy if they no given us results and replace them with Olanrewaju, Nwakaeme and Dessers. That's all. 2 Likes |

Kog45: I have made the observation in the bold quite some time ago. And I dont feel any of them are clearly better than Iorfa. That doesn't mean I think Iorfa is incredibly outstanding just as good or even possibly better. But we are prepared to prostrate for these Deutchlanders boys. Is that not double standard❓ 1 Like |

ChrisKels: Football is about Opportunity and taking it. Add to that having good career guidance. Fred Onyedinma has not used his opportunity and positioned himself in a way to progress his career. He needed to first know himself and what type of football suits him. He failed. Silly emotive loyalty has made him stay in a carpenter football club Millwall, that wants to play kick and rush. He had the opportunity to go too Arsenal even last season Watford and QPR. Well these decisions can either make or break you. Now he is in league 2, he will have to prove himself and try and show his quality. Otherwise it's looking downhill from here. On the other hand Ademola realised under the kick and die Management of Big Sam. Nuttin for him. He has gone to the Bundesliga and essentially he tore it up. He was well packaged and we'll managed and well positioned, but initially he was behind Onyedinma now he is way ahead. That's football. 5 Likes |

We are producing too many wingers but in a severe dearth of quality strikers, Chai If only we had a quality coach who knows his onions to effectively use all these wingers to achieve excellent results, so that we dont feel our lack of quality strikers. Just imagine; Musa - WF/W Onyekuru - WF/W Kalu - W SiMoses - W Bazee - WF/W Ademola* - WF/W Danjuma* - WB/W 1 Like |

Earthquake1: My bad! Nwakaeme is not a striker. He is a LW. I think Rohr tried to convert him to a CF and he could not perform. Besides, I don't think one match is enough to consider him flop. Far from it. Though I will no longer consider him a CF again since he a natural left winger. However, what will inspire confidence in you again if the best player and highest goalscorer in the Austrian league, an MOTM award winning player in the La Liga and Ukrainian league and an Sharktar Doneskt striker doesn't inspire confidence in you? Is it Ighalo, Iheanacho and Simy that inspires confidence in you? Then why complain? As it stands, Kayode Olanrewaju is the only nigerian sriker playing for the biggest club in the world. How it does inspires confidence in the biggest club to have him and not inspiring confidence in you is a mistery. Kayode, Dessers and Bonaventure should be given a chance. 1 Like |

do4luv14: So Monday James, Siasia's 2005 U20 player, too na Maracana product? U no say we done graduate from Maracana long ago. I no see those younger generations. Of course not all Maracana products got to play for the SE but the ones I know and saw playing (and played with and against some) ended up as high fliers in the SE. Samson Siasia, Emmanuel Amuneke, Sunday Oliseh and Taribo West. Martins was a product of the Orile sand field but also played mock nations cup at Maracana. Others like Bina Ajuwa, Kelvin (Kachi) Amuneke and Ugochukwu (wowo) Chukwunyere were also handed debuts but injury finished some like Bina. Football development seems to have dipped in AJ. Na football academies dey produce players now. No more street football. Me go like go back go visit that Maracana one day too. E don Tay o. So boys don turn am to Colombia now. Na wa o. Did u ever here about Atine and Duru? Those two bros then play pass Emma Amuneke o. But just like Moi they didnt end up playing professional football. 1 Like |

edi287: Well, I don't think his stats in that CF role support he will be good in that position. Besides, we need a genuine AMF in the team and the only player in a decent league is Abdul Ajagun. He is the only one that plays in that position in Europe after I discovered that Ebere Eze plays more as a Central Midfielder. Snapshot 1..... Abdul Ajagun Snapshot 2 Ebere Eze 1 Like

Everton ace Ademola Lookman has pledged his senior international future to Nigeria ahead of England according to a chieftain of the Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF). Owngoalnigeria.com sort clarification on reports about his switch of allegiance and the NFF bigwig who spoke on the condition of anonymity confirmed the switch is as good as done. ” Base on our discussion with his management team and his parents he will represent Nigeria . He has decided to play for Nigeria. Lookman never shut out Nigeria completely but we have to be careful because of the experience with Tammy Abraham “, he told Owngoalnigeria.com. “Coach Gernot Rohr has always wanted Lookman. Now with the retirement of Victor Moses, he will add to the options available to the coach on the flanks. An announcement will be made soon”, he concluded. He however said he is not sure of Lookman making the squad of the Nigerian team for next month back to back Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Libya. |

Ademola Lookman is an excellent addition. He is young and adds to the excellent wing players in the team. We might not need a top 9 with the kinds of players, we have. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

tbaba1234: You are thinking like I am thinking. Once upon a time we had so much quality in our striking position and poor quality wingers. And then we switched some of the strikers to play from the wings. Eg: Osaze, Utaka and Nsofor Now we have a reverse situation. The younger strikers do not posses as much quality as the young wingers. We can switch position of those wingers that have eyes for goals to strikers. I have two candidates: Henry Onyekuru and Ademola Lookman. The wings are already crowded and we have to maximize our potentials. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
