the Z1 was not recommended for 2003 upwards Honda but they switched to DW1.

jumia and Kong sells quality Z1 and it is the recommended atf for that accord so it will work 100%

Honda does not manufacture Z1 again.. so where do jumia and konga sellers get Z1 from?
DW1 is backward compatible

Bros we are talking about Honda Z1 not equivalent.. Let's assume its old stock.. After how many years? Old stock should have been exhausted.

Let me reframe my English.. Honda does not manufacture or outsource production of Honda Z1

Very correct. No more Atf z1 from Honda but alternatives exist which is also good like dexron 111h. To get that in the market is easy.

exactly what sooperrescue said also the DW1 has alternatives from castro Mobil etc.

now to dextron 3 which has also been phased out since and still available in the market. The Z1 has a known formula and there are still companies manufacturing quality ones been imported.

I understand your fears i was in the same dilemma with dextron 3 so when buying fluid always buy from reputable shops.

Bros you are shifting goal post.. You asked OP to use "Honda Z1".. Not the equivalent.. Then you said konga & jumia sell quality Z1

I did not see any quality alternative Z1 on konga & Jumia.. I only saw "Honda Z1", which I very much doubt the quality/source..

Even DW1 weh Honda still dey make.. The fake full market talk less of Z1..

OP please use Honda DW1 or "Z1 equivalent" in your transmission.. Any Honda Z1 in the market is most probably fake.

I don't understand

dw1 was introduced in 2002-2003 and was to replace z1 but even people using very early model Honda still utilise the Z1.

old oils will always be available for people who need it even with the right quality. the baby boy isn't plagued with transmission issues like the eod he would be safe using QUALITY Z1 fluid.

I hope with this you won't say I am shifting goal post grin

You are still shifting post sir

If you initial response to OP query was "QUALITY Z1 fluid", nobody will argue with you.. but your response was "HONDA ATF-Z1", which is specific.. You then changed to jumia/konga "QUALITY Z1" then outsourced Honda Z1 before you started posting link about 2011 Honda Z1 and Z1 equivalent ... So can you see the goal post shifting?

no I can't every product in the market has imitation or fake the onus is on you to buy quality, putting quality in front of Z1 means nothing.

I wasn't even adamant he should do z1 replacement but their are still original z1 in the market if you know where and how to get it

EOD inherited the trans plague from babyboy

including odyssey and pilot

and Acura MDX and Acura tl tongue

I am only aware of odyssey and it's the international version not the Australian version. Also that acura TL with the 3.2L engine is a disaster waiting to happen but that's using palm oil.

The others you mentioned are due to wrong oil use I have never come to an issue concerning that. The baby itself I have never heard of a wide transmission issue when I say wide I mean a lot of people experiencing transmission issues due to build or etc etc.
