Appreciate all the advise of stay away from the market till after election bla bla.... Just to say in this same market some people have done 10-20% 3 times over in the past month on the likes of Transcorp in the cyclical (1.05 - 1.30) dance it has been doing. Important to plan your trade and then trade your plan......

Some Comments here can give HBP.. Some say things just to get someone to respond But no mind them.. You’ve got to learn to ignore.. just laugh and smile even tho they’ll still say you’re “suffering and smiling” but then again what do they want a person whos portfolio has been on red for months to do ? Kill himself or herself ?
Smiles are infectious. When a smile is seen others whether in the same boat or not are likely to smile too.
Don’t let some comments here get to you jare.. if you stop reading you “might” miss out on some important ones.. Yes there’re important ones, don’t mind what they are saying now oo, they acting like bunch of agbayas because the are not in the market.. You’ll see seriousness when they are all in the market.

I have tried to narrate all that have happened to me in this market, hoping no one else will be stupidly hopeful as I was once, but I have realised also that each trader (am not talking about investors though) must experience bad trades before they can ever apply caution.

Let me reveal something else that will make your day, it will gladen your heart.

I have several units of Dunlop, average price above ₦5, all bought around that 2008 bubble. That's my worst stupidity and Mpeace made me remember that when he was 101% hopeful about DBN (No be yab oooo). I also still have Equity Assurance and another insurance stock (forgotten the name self). These are stocks that earned me losses running in millions. They are still with my analogue broker, they will forever remain there as a conscious reminder never to be stupidly hopeful.

I was also stupidly hopeful about Transcorp when it was stuck at 50k for long. I was buying when Samstone4 (SS4) was massively buying, I inferred that he had insider information. Though this gamble paid off, thanks to Tony Elumelu but it was a very wrong thing to do.

Las Las, we will all keep learning. We all just have to make sure that we apply what we have learnt as we move on.

As a trader, there will always be gains and losses, just make sure that your gains far exceed your losses.

Zenith will still.recover and return profit even for those that bought at ₦30, I do believe that. Same way I believed it will get back to ₦30, was same way I believed it will drop below ₦20.

Peace Ma. I no wan fight again.

another angu
- price has maintained a lower monthly closure from Feb to August
- price is currently trading below August closing price and we may likely see another lower monthly closure making 7 months in a row
- based on available data , this is d longest losing streak on a monthly basis
- one month will sha be green at some point , we wait and see wh one

Note:
Aug closing price was N21

I made a very bad bet on Honeywell flour, that made me loose 20% of my portfolio. With this dance with transcorp I have almost fully recouped the losses in this same bear market, this is my third ride, entered yesterday again at 1.10 and will wait till 1.25 and offload again and will continue till the market regains it senses. And if it falls below 1.05 I am ready to average down and wait because of the strong fundamentals of transcorp this year. There is always an opportunity.....

Not the loss as per se, but the fact that I have been living with suck stock for 10 years going.

Fundamental is not the case now, because this bear respect no fundamental. But fundamental will be the key word during bonanza purchase period of January, February and March.
What if you lose 20%, and lose further 30 percent on the believe that you want to average down, after gaining 10%? It will be a wise thing to do buying Transcorp at 70 kobo during bonanza period, and it climb back to #3. At that you will be making above above 300%. Even it climbs back to #1.40 from 70 kobo, that's is 100% profit.

While I am using this trancorp to recoup my loss. Just waiting for Zenith at N18, if it gets there I will open the gates of hell on it. That will be a PE of about 3 and expected dividend yield of about 15%, even if Warren Buffet sees such awoof he will buy. Always plan your trade and trade your plan. A translation of one of my favorite Yoruba adages say you don’t listen to the noise of the market, you listen to the person you are negotiating with....

For now it is just working fine, done 2 round trips already. And like I said if it breaks 1.05 then ready to average down. This is one of the lowest multiples ever for transcorp in years. Won’t be waiting for a 70k that might never come....

However transcorp is short term trades for me. Target is zenith at 18, I don’t care if the the NSE is falling into the gutter. If Zenith gets there I am parking my full load there...

This food that Fidelity is still cooking till now, are they waiting for the food to turn to charcoal before serving the public.

Let them be fast. Maybe the result will usher in the bull or release more bears.
