The truth is very clear. In south east. People survive on their own. They don't benefit anything from the government (FG), from good roads, to jobs, to major infrastructures to electricity and so much more. Everything done in south east is determined by two group of people. The commercial bus drivers and the traders. Once these two go on strike, the whole of south east will be on shut down .

Just imagine that no market is open for businesses in Onitsha and then no commercial bus drivers on the road, automatically, all banks will not work, as there is no one to attend to, even though their ATM channels are open. Then for other civil servants, no one can go to work because they can't do so trekking if there are no means of transportation.

The government has no influence on businessmen and women. U can't penalise them for not opening for business. Same as commercial bus drivers, u can't force any of them to work against their wishes.

That's what happens when the govt doesn't do anything for the masses, they grow thick skin to survive without the government presence in their lives.

There are so many people willing to go out today, but can't because they can't trek ,so they just stay back at home.

2ndly, from the past, the people of south east has seen how lawless the security operatives are in the past, as such, everyone is taking measures to avoid being caught up in the crossfire of their lawlessness. Otherwise those that has private vehicles would still go out today.

COMMUNIQUE RELEASED BY YORUBA MUSLIMS IN OSHOGBO ON IPOB SIT-AT-HOME

We yoruba muslims sitting in Oshogbo have lamented the recent sit-at-home declared by IPOB. More painful is the fact that Ebonyi whom we have laboured hard to convert to Islam and make them hate other Ibos by taking advantage of the fact that literacy is relatively poorer than it is in other Eastern states are no longer dancing to our tunes and now even more literate than all our yoruba states. This situation have left us with serious headache as making them fellow zombies have become a herculean task.

We hereby declare 50 days fasting and prayer by all Muslim ummah to make Ebonyi and other Eastern state hate themselves and kill Biafra once and for all. 15 fresh human heads and 10 dry skulls from oshogbo cemetry will also be needed to accelerate the answer of prayers. Insha Allahu! Amin kufayakun!

I am Igbo. I love the Igbos more than you can think. I will support Biafra any day it becomes a coalition of the southerners. The Northerners are more united than the southerners, let's form a coalition here in the south first, only then can our voices be heard. 5 states can't just wrestle 31 states and hope to win. You can block the economic activities in your own home and claim you are "sitting at home".

My opinion
A journey starts with a step; the more people, the sooner the Quest. Better join the train. But sorry to say this, your kind is that of "Saboteurs." From your opinion, you can sell the Igbos out.

The south wouldn't want to join peacefully in fact they'd think its because of their oyel and the north wouldn't want to give up their oyel wealth without war.

Exactly. This is a big lesson for other regions especially citizens of Middle Belt. Freedom is not given, it is sought for by well organized campaign like what IPOB is doing. Middle belt can not afford to be slaves in this God forsaken union call Nigeria.
God bless Biafra and Biafrans worldwide.
is left for them (The Middle belt) to decide their fate, either rise and fight for what you want or sit and remain slave. As for we in the South we are always prepared for anything and everything

Resolute and peaceful. This show that when majority of a people agree and have unity of purpose, they can achieve greatness. Some will also kick against it due to their selfishness like some of the governors. The Middle belt people and indeed any other aggrieved groups in Nigeria should also learn from this to pass their massage. Whether the government listens is another thing. I will also love to see this unity used against the government in the East. Politically, vote for the persons who will listen to the people and make changes, and use this same mass action to get them accountable to the people. Let begin the struggle from for self determination from home.

Let me tell you something, what happened yesterday people simply stocked their houses and just rested, month end they would still remit their taxes to the state governemnt.

And watch them transform that pacific island to an El Dorado. You'll end up spending millions for a Biafra visa, and your visa application will still get denied
