My Infinix Note 5 Review After One Week by nonny400(m): 1:26am On Sep 15, 2018 |
Good morning phonelanders. I'm sure most people here are interested in this review due to the recently released Note 5 stylus. I planned to get the stylus too but I decided to try the normal note 5 first. I've had it for a week now, so I'm going to drop my review here, and make changes as time goes on. On the software, which is Android One Oreo, this phone is close to perfect. My previous phone, the Tecno Camon X, was also a 3gb ram phone, but the ram optimization was really really poor. When I boot up the Camon X, about close to 2gb is already being used by the system, meaning that I effectively had roughly one gb to use. The Note 5 has no such problems. Even though you can't normally see the amount of ram being used, the fluidity of the phone is second to none. I can have as many apps as possible open, and only when they stay for a while will one or two reload. This is a great improvement. |

Battery This 4500mah battery is a beast!!! I used the note 4 pro, and I was dismayed by the battery performance. It was like a 3000mah battery. However, this note 5 is wonderful. The helio p23 octacore processor manages battery life effectively, coupled with the fact that it doesn't have a metallic body. It doesn't heat up at all. On 3g or Wi-Fi, I get around 12 hours screen on time. On 4g LTE, I get around 10 hours screen on time. See pictures on LTE below... 1 Like 1 Share

The 6″ FHD+ IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen, with a Resolution of 1080 X 2160 pixels, 18:9 ratio (~403 ppi density) serves very well. It's sturdy. I don't really know if it's antiscratch, as I have a screenguard on it. Its a browsing delight, I'd say.

I'd stop here for now. You can ask questions and I'd try to answer them. My verdict I'd that this is a very good phone to own, and I'm not paying an extra 20k to get a stylus (which I won't use), or 64gb internal memory (I already have a 64gb SD card). The 3gb ram is smooth, so 4gb is a luxury I can afford to ignore. Android one is smooth. I already installed a gallery app and file manager, both of which do not come with ads. I hope this thread is informative enough. Henry007 henryneo Cc lalasticlala Dominique 1 Like

tomiwa20: Since time immemorial, I've never really liked Google photos. Lol. Maybe I'd pay more attention. About FilesGo, can it move apps from place to place? Like from SD to internal and vice versa? Please reply. |

GoldenJulius: Use volume down and power to screenshot, then download a screen record app from play store to solve that problem. Let's hope they put those functions on September's update, just as they promised us radio. About the Gallery and File Manager, view the pictures below and find them. The file manager is supposed to have ads but in one week I've not seen any. And it's very wonderful. 1 Like

SkengRay: The camera is actually great. I don't want to share personal pictures but be rest assured that the camera is wonderful. About the storage, you can't format the SD as internal memory,. I can't remember if I saw that option while setting up the phone, as most phones show that option ONLY during setup. But even without file manager you can move things around from storage under settings. I've been doing copy and paste without file manager recently. 1 Like |

It has a transmitter inbuilt. All you need is the radio apk. You can Google and download it, or you wait for September update to get it. |
