tiredoflife: It is laughable that you call what you have sense. Arguing with people like you is like pouring water into a basket. In 2015, shortly before the elections, just after it was postponed from February 14, Jonathan carted millions of dollars from the Central Bank and bribed virtually everybody bribable, from the traditional rulers to the council of witches and wizards. I guess your memory is on pause or something. Or maybe you were still in diapers at that time. Bribing people with foreign currency and you expect the economy to still be the same? I'm trying to swear less on this forum, please and please if you don't have anything sensible to say don't quote me anymore. |

PrecisionFx: But your are the stupid one here. It's like you PDP guys have only like 3bytes of memory in your brain or something. Were you in a coma when Jonathan flooded the economy with foreign currency from the CBN, bribing up and down so that people could vote for him? Or did you think that it wouldn't have a negative effect on the economy, depleting the CBN of forex? You guys should donate your brains to city colleges around you for experiments. You so so unteachable if you think this is Nigeria's second recession. You are just so ignorant. I believe you weren't born during the Babangida era of SAP. Shior! All these Nairaland shudren sef. You won't stay in your lane. Better go to Romance section and be arguing about boyfriend and girlfriend there and let adults discuss politics. |

erico2k2: Bro, make your point. And if your point is based on trying to convince me that Buhari or APC is terrible, then don't waste your strength because we are on the same page. None of the politicians alive today in Nigeria is worth anything. A government that cannot provide stable electricity and security for her people, is that one a government? This post is not about Buhari or APC or PDP. This is about Adeodun. And I maintain that she did her best. Finish. Left to me, is execute all elected politicians today if I had the power. There are all trash. Right from 1999 till present. |

Ugosample: I'm glad that you aren't a kid. I know that you will tell me that Okonjo Iweala performed wonderfully well. Let me open your eyes. Less than a year after she left office as the coordinating minister of the economy as well as the minister of finance (practically what you'd call a prime minister, first among her peers), Nigeria slid into recession. Does that sound like as if someone did a good job? Even if Buhari was using trailers to cart money from the CBN, if Okonjo had done a yeoman's job with the economy for 6 good years, Nigeria won't have gone into recession so quickly. You want to know why there was forex crisis? Let me educate you. 2015 elections were initially scheduled to hold on 14th February. Sahara Reporters came with the rumors that they wanted to shift it. We didn't believe. They shifted it because it was obvious to the PDP that they were going to lose badly. Jonathan then commenced to paying a visit to all interest groups and bribing them with hard currency. He saturated the economy with dollars all in a bid to win. Already, the dollars was getting scarce in late 2014. I remember this because I was in Dubai at that time and my friends there were complaining bitterly how their businesses were suffering due to the dollar scarcity and hike. Did you really think that all these would happen and there won't be a ripple effect on the larger economy of the nation? Jonathan and gang went for broke. You think the "we will die here today" display of one of Jonathan's ministers when he saw they were losing was just child's play or some form of entertainment? Buhari maybe very slow and maybe even a tad INCOMPETENT, but better be grateful that it's him there and not Jonathan the ineffectual buffoon. The only grouse I have with Buhari is lack of security and inability to prosecute corrupt politicians. Otherwise, our national purse is secure with him. There's no doubt Kemi did a good job and yes, I'm sorry to see her go. |

erico2k2: I know what corruption is in Nigeria, not a kid you know. I have dealt with principal officers in the ministry as an architect. I have witnessed corruption in high places first hand. Trust me when I tell you I know what corruption smells like. You are talking of crude oil. Aren't ordinary Nigerians themselves corrupt? I remember when I served, the kind of corruption our AI, Area Inspector fostered just to get more money for himself, colluding with our CLO and you are pointing at corruption in high places. Corruption in Nigeria stinks to the high heavens. I'm not saying this administration is free from corruption, but compared to GEJ's administration, we can safely say the Treasury is breathing a sigh of relief. |

Ioannes:The highest revenue earner in this country is where teh highest corruption lays. Now the NNPC is the most corrupt entity in Nigeria. Now who heads it? If not for the hidden agenda why is there no transpiracy in that sector? why would a whole Head of state decide to be the minister for petrolume, why not the minister for power? Now by saying the last FG is mor corrupt than this makes me laugh, how did you measure this if I may ask?Nothing changed, the whole civil service remains stale.Police and Army remains stale, the Only thing that is dynamic is our suffering as citizens of Nigeria, suffering is on the up why the people infliting such on us remain constant..Nigeria as an institution is corrupt. The fix is putting in place infastructures that can chekmate corruption. One of such is Functional power service.Look at teh ordinary man, tell me why PHCN wont install PAYG mtres if not for corruption?.Look the list is endless but saying this FG is better than the last is laughable so to speak, nothing change if for anything it is getting worse cos they keep covering their shortcomings by blaming the last FG. PS Ignor my spellings at times. |

erico2k2: There you go. For you it's personal. You hate Buhari. You've always hated him even before he became president. You always will hate him. 1. Because he's a moslem. 2. Because he's Fulani and was against the Biafrans during the war. 3. Because he defeated Jonathan during the last elections. At least admit that to yourself. I was a great supporter of Jonathan prior to 2011. I campaigned for him for 2011. I thought I saw humility in him. I didn't know it was timidity. Now I deem him one of the worst presidents this country can ever produce. I'm not in support of this administration. There have been too many bloodshed from the hands of the cattle herders, people of his ethnic stock. If not for that and the lack of will to prosecute all these corrupt politicians walking tall and throwing their corruption in our faces by buying presidential nomination forms, I'd just simply vote Buhari again. But I'm not sure I'll do that even if I was in the position to. So, no. I don't support Buhari at all. I'd just put Sowore there and lets see what he'll do. Simple. |

Ioannes:here you go, the Nigerian syndrome comes into play Criticize PMB, you get lebeled as hating him or worse still got called Ipob, how does my question up there instigate the narrative of hateThis was how one Idiot was telling me he thought once you where not Hausa or yoruba you are IGBO, now you say I hate Muslim, has it occur to you people like me just cant be bothered with religion? tell me one country in the west who give a craaap about religion.I ask you a simple question, this has nothing to do with tribe or religion rahter personality.I said tell me one Biz PMB has done in his entire life that grew succesfully, simple question, I can tell you the ones done by Tinibu, or Atiku or the Vice president etc, waht has PMB done? 1 Like |

erico2k2: I agree with your summations to a large extent. A government that can't provide electricity to regenerate mediuma and small scale businesses isn't a serious government. I agree. Corruption at high places. I agree. Seems nothing has changed in the for the common man. I agree. Had Jonathan continued I can assure you that the microscopic progree that you have refused to see would turn to a deliberate negative trend in the economy. Look, we agree on much. But I know that the mess created by Okonjo who refuse to watch over our common patrimony in her care was pulled out of the fire by Adeosun. Even if I hate Buhari's government, the presence of a very few individuals in that government is like a ray of light in the darkest storm. I shudder to think of what kind of government this would have been if vice President Osinbajo wasn't there to make sure that the eternally ethnocentric President didn't plunge the entire country into anarchy. If you remember, Kemi and Buhari had a disagreement earlier on in the life of the administration concerning some policy implementation and all that. When you have someone as rigid and unyielding as the old man, them you need a few good people around him to make sure it isn't a total disaster. One of them has resigned. |
Re: Highlights Of Kemi Adeosun Activities As Finance Minister by Nobody: 5:57pm On Sep 15, 2018 |
erico2k2: I know you hate Buhari because you are using the same old tactics that Igbos online here use to denigrate him. The same question of what business has he succeeded in. Like really? So Atiku robs you blind and them establishes a university and you clap for him. Ditto Tinubu who continues to rob Lagos blind and you still clap for him. How difficult do you think it is to hire seasoned managers to look after your business while you junket around the world? Everybody knows Buhari is a Fulani man who has his cattle farm. What other business do you want him to do? Selling clothes? |

I used Atiku cos he is frm the North and a Muslim, you think owning a University means managing? seriously?you dont even k now what Atiku runs.he owns Intels,Prodeco,Atiku Farms, go and check his 1st Biz was inter border transport with pick ups, you want me to go on,problem with you lot you dont read. 1 Like |

kotv: I know you and your ilk were born only after Buhari defeated GEJ but actually, there was life before then and every Nigerian apart from idiots knew we were heading for a terrible time as far back as 2013 because of the falling oil prices. Even Ngozi Iwealla warned as far back as 2012!! because oil had reached it's peak $115/Barrel and those who had sense knew that it was going to start going down which it did to $26/Barrel in February 2016!! https://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/06/okonjo-iweala-warns-of-economic-recession/ https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/138723-exclusive-okonjo-iweala-opens-up-says-nigeria-economy-in-danger.html And under Aunty Ngo, we had even started sinking into the debts She and OBJ pulled us out from even with very high oil prices!! https://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/nigeria-sinks-deeper-external-debt/ See thousands of Job loses that we experienced even in 2012 https://allafrica.com/stories/201202170638.html https://allafrica.com/stories/201201310955.html https://www.nairaland.com/857072/access-bank-sacks-1500-intercontinental Now if you can think, you'll realize that the recession of 2015 - 2016 was inevitable because of the fall in oil prices and every adult who works knows that when your salary reduces, you face a cash crunch. If you're earning 115k and i reduce it to 26k, you'll probably commit suicide. That's what happened to the Nigerian economy and the economy of every single oil producing/dependent country on planet Earth. Infact we should thank Kemi that we didn't become Venezuela. This is a free lesson for which i won't charge you |

The only battle the IBOs had ever won is propaganda war. They always lose every battle. If Ibos had supported Buhari, he would have been in grave long time. Abacha & Umaru Yar'adua would have lived a little bit longer but for people who are in the bad book of the god of Nigeria that were around them. The case of Kemi Adeosun is not the case of opposition party or Civil Society Organization or any Non State Actors but that of the Ibos. A northerner politician and a former director of NYSC was discussing with us some months ago about former NYSC director of mobilization an IBO man who was interviewed by Channels TV and was attacking Kemi Adeosun as if they are fighting. He also reminded us of how Ngozi Okonjo - Iweala indicted & implicated Obj during the Ndi Elumelu led House of Reps probe of the power sector. He was shocked by her submission during the probe. Well, a lot of us present there know they are embittered . It was observed that late Uche Chukwumerije & Walter Ofornagoro as ministers of Information attacked NADECO & MKO groups beyond their terms of reference as ministers of information seeing their appointment as a revenge mission of Biafra, the god of Nigeria ended their job with death of Abacha. When Ngozi Okonjo Iweala aided her kinsmen to loot Nigeria & mismanaged economy, they thought Nigeria would collapse. They were put to shame. In 2016, the National Assembly members did not know how Nigeria will survive said budget sent by presidency is missing. Budget, an electronic document whose draft copy is available to several people even clerks that worked with team at budget office & assistants at committee level have copy. The hard copy can be printed. Budget missing became Igbos anthem as at that time. Nobody saw fake NYSC certificate until Nigeria came out of recession and crude oil price rises when FG had already banned some importation which made billion of dollars available to fund projects abandoned & those ongoing projects whose contractors are being owed by GEJ looting government. Another angle I am looking at issues is corruption within APC again. Those corrupt elements within APC also want money now that oil price is appreciating. The legal fee charged by those Lawyers for recovery of Abacha loot is easier to collect from another person . 1 Like 1 Share |
