Whao!!!! This is strange...imagine how this guy would feel now.. After the good byes to friends and family and gbam! One should ensure all information provided to IRCC is true.. Even if the bank job was captured under personal history, that would have saved him.

Thanks for sharing @Newmum0615

Thanks for reviewing and modifying my wife's reference letter. You are too much!

Newmum0615:
So, I heard the most bizarre post-PPR rejection story this week.

Someone who works in a bank applied for himself and family and instead of using his bank job as work experience, he stated that he was self-employed and proceeded to apply with docs to show that he is a self-employed consultant or something like that. Everything was moving smoothly, he got PPR and then the worst happened when his and dependent's passports was returned by VFS without COPR or visa. Next, he got a notice of rejection. Apparently, they found out about his bank job and that he lied about the fact that he was still employed by the bank. Reason he gave for not using his bank job to claim points was that he didn't want to ask his HR for letter. He actually has a side hustle that pays but he wanted to use that rather than use his job to claim points.

So guys, for some of us who are always reluctant to ask for reference letters because of the preconceived notion that our employers might either not agree to sign or become hostile once they learn of our plans, please be warned. There is no harm in trying. Always play on the side of caution. I can't even begin to imagine if this guy has gone ahead to announce PPR to friends and family or even bought flight tickets etc.

Stay woke guys. Stay woke.

Tough one. Gotta be careful.
There's no statue of limitations on misrepresention o.
Even if they find out 10yrs later, you are OYO.
Currently CBSA is investigating a set of Chinese people who used some agents and they are getting PR status and citizenship revoked.

Is it possible for you to get your immediate supervisor to write the reference for you? Or even a colleague? You can add it to the one from HR so that while the HR letter proves your work experience with the company, the second one can clarify your JD and weekly hours in CIC format.

I'll try to do this. Thank you

Hi house...thanks alot for your assistance so far...pls i am new here..kindly help with this

Does Wes count Uniben diploma(OND) nd Bsc as two certificates?....

I think OND and BSc counts as two or more certs.. However I am not too certain, I would let the elders corroborate or disagree with this position.

@Newmum0615 thanks for always helping with NOC..

Please for someone who works 9am -9pm reading Nairaland (Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled ) what would my NOC be.
Also Would I quickly get job in Canada?

Thank you its a very urgent something I am about to eAPR. Also who would give me reference letter?

Je m'appelle Ramj

You no dey fear o,
Nairaland experience may not count inside Dollarland...
As for NOC, the elders will handle that..

As for exams, by the time they evaluate your Nairaland experience you may have to licensure exams to measure up for Dollarlad experience or take some bridging programs.

All communication with them was oral. They even refused to view the cic format I had already typed for them to see, that they know what to do. Only for me to pick up this vacation letter

plus what others have said, could you send them a mail reiterating that this is not the letter you need etc. If you don't think it's pushing your luck too far... Let's see if they respond.

Exactly. Even if they don't respond or respond with an unfavorable answer, you can add the mail to your documentation to show that you really work for the organisation and as a proof of best efforts to get the letter in the approved format.

Good day everyone, please I need clarification on body to use for my ECA. I am a nurse. I have RN, RPHN and BNSc. I was told Iqas is better as it will give me two or more certification as ECA. Should I send all my credentials to Iqas or should I leave the bnsc out of it as it may be the only thing evaluated? Thanks. Someone should please enlighten me
Evaluate only your RN and RPHN with IQAS for 2 or more certificates. I don't know about the bolded.

I Newmum studied Engineering. NOC was in a Finance related role. I am currently packing my luggage to enter Canada.
Fear Not. So long as the duties you perform match the duties of the NOC, you should be fine. The date you first became licensed to practice in that profession is the date on your OND or BSc certificate whichever one you have. If it says high school diploma is the minimum required to enter the profession, then your WAEC date na im e be. Save this worry for when you start looking for a job in Canada.

This is sad to hear. Did he not put this bank job under personal history? If he did without using it to claim points for his work experience, he probably would have been fine but it sounds like he may have omitted to mention it altogether which is misrepresentation.

Sadly, he didn't. He was advised wrongly. Someone told him that they would ask him for reference if he mentions it anywhere at all. Most times, we don't appreciate enough, the access we have to free and mostly accurate information here. People get and use bad advice left, right and centre.
