solite3:you have already denied the hypostatic Union unless you don't know the meaning of hypostatic Union, right now you are in Nestorianism. The Word of God is God, jn 1:1, that same became flesh in the womb of Mary jn 1:14 , Luke 1, and was born of her. The everlasting Word of the most high took flesh and was born of Mary, she is his mother. 3 Likes |

ichuka:The Bible pretty much is clear on this, Mary was not an Incubator, she is a mother, in CONCEIVED her son Jesus not just incubate him. She conceived, bore and birthed him that is how he became flesh. Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 3 Likes |

Ubenedictus:the divine nature is distinct from his human nature. what applied to his human nature does not apply to his divine nature, for example when Jesus slept his human nature slept not his divine nature use that to understand what I m saying, God is beyond time and space. when Jesus was born his divine nature wad not the one given birth to but his human nature. when the word took the form of flesh his divine nature remains unchanged and not subject to physical laws. so saying Mary is mother of God will automatically mean that his divine nature, which for example had no mother or father or genealogy changed. Hebrews 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. except of cause you mean that God changed |

Re: Mary Is Not The Mother Of God by Nobody: 6:53pm On Sep 15, 2018 |
Ubenedictus:yes the human nature and his divine nature were united in one person but God has no mother, motherhood is a biological function not applied to the divine nature. in this way yes Mary gave birth to the God-man but she is not the mother of God. |

solite3:1/ Biological function is not applied to the divine nature? What!? You better start explaining how you mean by this 2/ Was the divine nature, inside Mary's womb, for nine months or not? 3/ Look at John 20:27-28 below for a sec, now tell. Why gangan is Mary, not the mother of God? solite3:"27Then Jesus said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and look at My hands. Reach out your hand and put it into My side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28Thomas replied, “My Lord and my God!” " - John 20:27-28 solite3, solite3, solite3, How many times did I call you? Hmm. Efrebor efrebor you go wound o! And Solite you can do yourself some good and do a fact check with what you post on Mary or the Catholic by comparing it with official teaching of the Catholic Church which available to all (use Google). Many of those antagonist to the Catholic are so because of perception and not facts. Many anti Catholics have converted when they see the real deal. E.g Scott Hann 1 Like |

Ubenedictus:Luke1:34Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that "HOLY THING"which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Do you why the THING FORMED IN HER WAS CALLED HOLY? Lol Bro,I no fit argue with you abeg. My mum and siblings are still catholic and I truly believe some in your meetings are truly saved. |

solite3:Bro He took no flesh from anybody That's my point. He can't be part of what He came to destroy(The Flesh). He came in the likeness of our flesh doesn't mean He shared our old corrupted flesh. Philip2:7rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very natureb of a servant, being made in human likeness. |

MuttleyLaff: 1/ how hard is it to understand that? God does not have a mother. Mary became the mother of Jesus by virtue of Jesus physical birth not divinity. 2/ Mary Carried the God-man in her womb does not mean she was the mother of God, 'Mary the mother of God' was not taught in the early church. 3/John 20:27-28 does prove Jesus is God but not that God had a mother. what you are insinuating is that Jesus divine nature and his human nature are one and the same which is wrong. the. Jesus was God from eternity but added a human nature in cause of time. this two nature's became one ( united) not mixed or changed or the same. Do you know Jesus never called Mary Mother in the bible? why? |
Re: Mary Is Not The Mother Of God by Nobody: 5:27am On Sep 16, 2018 |
MosesAlex:You should also know that Jesus is Lord by virtue of being the anointed one so this does not insinuate Mary to be God's mother. read this also Acts 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. since God made Jesus Lord. does it mean God made Jesus God? 1 Like |

MosesAlex:The rcc teachings are most times unclear and subtly deceptive. Jesus existed before he was born -correct the word took on flesh and became the God-man- correct Mary therefore is the mother of God- wrong. reason because God existed before Mary simple. |

solite3:I am grateful to you for your excellent replies First and foremost. God, in this context, is principally referring, to Jesus so means Jesus, God had a mother, that mother being Mary Mary became the mother of Jesus, became mother of the God incarnate, the God in flesh, the God in human form, by virtue, of a God physical and natural birth Remember solite3, he don tey wey yansh don dey for back Remember that God had, previously a couple of times, been appearing on earth physically or in physical forms but with Mary, this is the first and only time, He comes to earth naturally solite3:Oh c'mon now. Study the word, to show yourself approved... "Mary the mother of God" is taught in the bible Even better, you solite3, if you do the right thing is a mother of God solite3:I love the careful thought or honesty you demonstrated here however contrary to how you see it, the God began having a mother the moment God popped out of Mary You cant deny this simple fact and straighforward "korokoro" truth nau. solite3:Is it not this same "Jesus was God from eternity but added a human nature in cause of time" that Mary gave birth to? solite3:He never called Mary Mother in the bible but said who His mother is Please notice that unlike you, I didnt have the first letter in mother, capitalised or be in upper case letter M. solite3:There is no why because you are asking an invalid why question solite3, read and listen to this questions and answers below Teacher: solite3 is your dad, right? solite3's Kid: Yes, he is, Teach Teacher: How old is your father then? solite3's Kid: He is 6 years Teacher: What? How is this possible? solite3's Kid: He became father only when I was born Now here are 4 simple questions, I know you easily can answer 1/ When the God, become father, at what time? 2/ When did God, become Son, as in, at what time? 3/ How did God, become Father? 4/ How did God, become Son? solite3, I think you'll by now have seen the light after reading the above short Q&A and answered the 4 short and simple questions. |
Re: Mary Is Not The Mother Of God by Gggg102(m): 12:47pm On Sep 16, 2018 |
solite3: the spirit originated from God but your mother gave birth to it along with your body. your mother gave birth to you body and spirit. Mary gave birth to Jesus body and spirit even though the spirit did not originate from her. Mary is the mother of Jesus body and spirit so, she is the mother of God. 1 Like |

Gggg102:So your God had a mother? Who's the father of your God? You guys still don't understand John1:13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. Christ wasn't born by blood of Mary, either did He share same flesh with Mary nor was He born of the will of a man!!haba!! |

Mary relationship as his mother ended the day Jesus died. going by your logic we can say God the Son is just about 2000 years old which is false. Remember solite3, he don tey wey yansh don dey for back 1/ God has always being a father from eternity 2/Jesus has always being a Son, Jesus sonship is not by natural birth 3/more like how did God exist? 4/same thing |

Gggg102:spirits do not have mother, even nature would teach you this, if a child does not carry your DNA he or she is not for you, she gave birth to me body soul and spirit and I call her mother doesn't mean she is the mother of my spirit. How is Mary the mother of God if God didn't originated from her, biologically a baby is known to originate from the mother, hence it is called her baby. |

ichuka: did Mary give birth to Jesus flesh and spirit? |
Re: Mary Is Not The Mother Of God by Gggg102(m): 3:29pm On Sep 16, 2018 |
solite3: your mother is the person that gave birth to you. is the woman who gave birth to you body and spirit not the mother of you body and spirit? mother is different from creator. your mother did not create your spirit but she gave birth to it. your body and your spirit came into this world through your mother. you mother gave birth to you body soul and spirit. did your spirit originate from your mother before she gave birth to you? Mary gave birth to Jesus body and spirit. no one is saying she originated the spirit. she only gave birth to it. that qualifies her as a mother. the spirit is eternal. the spirit added flesh and entered Mary's womb. Mary gave birth to the child consisting of flesh and spirit. Mary, therefore, is the mother of the child consisting of flesh and spirit. |
Re: Mary Is Not The Mother Of God by Nobody: 3:38pm On Sep 16, 2018 |
Gggg102:it is not about giving birth but about relationship, your question should in what way is Mary the mother of Jesus, biologically or spiritually? you seem to assume that if Mary gave birth to Jesus, then Mary is his mother whether physically or spiritually, you need to understand that God's nature and relationship is inherently spirirual, do you know that Jesus never called Mary his mother throughout the whole bible? Jesus prefers his spiritual relationship that any biological relationship which only ended after Jesus death. |
