1. L. Shaw compliments the forwards better than A. Young. His runs stretches the opponent. He creates space for attackers in front of him to operate better whilst providing an avenue for attack at the same time.

Young hardly runs. He stands behind his forward waiting for the back pass so he could quickly make that predictive boring pass to the nearest CB or DM.

2. L. Shaw's attacking play is not labored. In fact he is more exciting and direct than Young. Did you see the assist he gave Rashford in England's last game? He knew when to hit the ball and he hit it well. Young dabble in theatrics a lot, sometimes it's annoying.

3. You must be prejudiced against Shaw to make those accusations or you don't watch him often enough, his recent games inclusive. Or maybe you're just a big fan of Ashley Young and would prefer an aging right-footed winger converted to an LB to a young natural left - footed LB.

Shaw and Rashford are the same. They just run straight even if it means running into traffic. It is hard to build attacking network with them. Shaw finds it hard to pass, so he revises and passes backward.

Young is more intelligent with the ball at his feet in the final 3rd. In fact everywhere. He thinks faster, acts faster in tackles and playing.

You will notice that our left side work better when Young and Blind had played than Shaw. Even Rojo is ahead of Shaw in pushing attack on that left side. Shaw was very good before he injured, but that assessment too was against small teams.

Shaw's attacking play is heavily laboured. When he plays, the forward player ahead of him on that left side automatically becomes useless. If he is not getting space to run forward, his networking is slow, predictable and heavily laboured. Needs many touches to make a pass that has been on. Mostly likely to reverse if the pass is not very clear for his left foot. Blind uses one leg, but fluently. Same with Giggs. But Shaw's one leg is not fluent in networking.

Luke Shaw played just four matches and has made a better impression than almost every player in the team based on consistency even in matches that the team lost. Young and Blind can play all they want, become makeshifts just to be in the team, what matters is that Luke Shaw is a natural and consistent LB and i haven't seen any other person play so well in that position for a long time.

Players i know that would turn out really good and even achieve World-Class status if nurtured well are Martial, Luke Shaw, Lindelof and Pogba (this one is very annoying shaa, back and forth everytime). Probably why the club was very reluctant to sell the first two despite Mou issues and even offered contract extensions to them.

I actually believe he's a talented footballer. He just cannot be a world class defender if you dont love to defend. And Lindelof never looks like someone who loves to defend. He can be a good defender but a world class one is laughable.

Martial didn't cover himself in glory when he enter for us against Watford. But time don reach to bench Alexis at least for this UCL fixture. If he plays undeniably well, he will earn his starting spot back in the team.
