You all are pathetic lots. Whats all this unnecessary excuse u guys peddle here on a clear case of fraud? do you know what it means handling the finance of a whole country? She shouldn't be found wanting in any aspect. Her position is to sensitive to be involved in any thing fraud. Fraud is Fraud no matter who is involved. So Saraki’s position wasn’t too sensitive to have forged the senate standing rule, Dino’s forged result wasn’t too sensitive that he’s still in the senate, Adeleke fake result wasn’t too sensitive to be a senator and also contesting as governor. |

ADIEU TO THE BEST FINANCE MINISTER IN RECENT TIMES. For nearly the whole of today, the story of Mrs Kemi's resignation as the Minister if Finance trended the online media. Although, credible among them also carried the story, I remain cautious, especially when a conflicting news followed some few hours later. Now, just a few minutes ago, the President's spokesman, Adesina, made a release to the effect that the President has accepted the resignation of his Minister of Finance, resting the controversy raging for this whole day. In the letter to the President, she gave her reasons as having got caught in a fake certificate saga which trended for sometime now. She told the President that she got her first Nigerian passport at the age of 34, having been born, bred and educated in Europe where her family is based. Upon arrival in Nigeria, she asked for the procedure of remedying her lacking of serving under the compulsory NYSC since she was already past the mandatory 30 year age. And she was then, advised to apply for the exemption certificate, which she did. In the letter, she told the President that she presented the same certificate to her state legislature where she served as a commissioner then; the same certificate to the DSS and the same certificate later, to the National Assembly. She said she was shocked to find out that the certificate issued her by the NYSC was fake as she had no capacity to ascertain its genuineness in the first instance. Hence she is now taking this decision as a path of honour. Whatever the case may be, one thing is instructive here. A precedence has been established where honour now counts in service and in governance. It is not easy to let go when you are enmeshed in the goodies of power, especially in a country such as ours. Some people were confirmed before to have done worse offence and have not let go. She has let go even when she was obviously and innocently shortchanged. No doubt, the present administration has lost a resource who has done much of the pride this administration flaunts as its major achievements in the last three years. Some of her major achievements included the prompt and strict implementation of the Treasury Single Account, along with the BVN, which greatly minimised official theft and fiscal responsibility in spending public funds. She has also succeeded in saving a major crisis in the economy by cohesively organising the FIRS and the Customs and Excise which generated at least 60% of government revenue, swelling the Federation Account with necessary funds for us to survive, especially during the biting recession of the year 2015/2016. Under her watch, the Nigerian pensioners, gratuities, and similar abandoned empowerments were critically addressed. state governments also smiled away with Paris Club disbursements in various tranches. Madam, as you move out of Government, probably back to Europe where you were groomed and where you inadvertently, acquired your exemplary discipline in government, I urge you to continue treading the path of honour. This government has a duty of fishing out the criminals who duped this fine personality and landed her in this big embarrassment, costing us her enormous wealth of knowledge, wisdom, courage and experience and finesse. Until you are vindicated, adieu to the best Finance Minister in recent times. Copied |

blackpanda: Tax evasions?? Please don't spread fake news. The FBI has nothing to do with Taxes. The IRS does. American tax laws are complex and a lot of people use the loop holes created by the complexity to avoid paying taxes. Legal but fraudulent. But not criminal. And as far as we know, the media hasn't exposed anything about Trumps taxes. |
