did my police report and background check March 2018
And did my medicals May 2018
And medicals pass was sent to me same month
since then haven't received any news for passport submittion
pls dose any one has same complain

And a friend I met doing medicals ,that want to study in canada is waiting for passport submittion to and her school was suppose to resume this september

Hi guys, I have a quick question for those who submitted their Canadian bank account while applying for SOWP. Did you print a statement showing just the balance in the account or the one showing account history (i.e inflow/debit and outflow/credit)?

I think there are couple of samples posted on thus thread in the past. I can remember vividly Shola1064 posted one here in around feb/marc/Apr 2016. Simply check his post, I used that also.

What is the success rate now?

Applied SOWP June 14th, no recent update so far apart from medical passed and eligibility review.
Do I have any in my shoes also?

they are o. Just that is taking too long. You are on the right track atleast your eligibility review as started already. I appplied 5th of May no any updates since then and next week will make it 5months. Just remain hopeful and let’s pray for a positive outcome.

Did you do upfront medicals? Or waiting for request?
That means they've not started processing MAY, not to talk of JUNE.
I have been in an Indian SOWP WhatsApp group, and it's been intimidating so far. They are processing their July applications now, and many people are getting their PPR

Please, anyone with an ongoing application should give us a timeline, so that we can know how far they are. Let's help ourselves

Definitely on the right thread. Waiting is not easy, but still keep faith alive! Mine is 6 month (April 3rd) and still no news, tough medical passed. I pray our expectations all come to fulfillment soonest.

In my opinion, for those who is about to apply for SOWP, I feel they should consider applying for Visiting visa and get their open work permit when they land as long as they can fulfil the requirements for it. Its takes a short time duration and one will still arrive at the same result.

From recent experience, my sister-in-law applied for visiting in may, she landed and after awhile went back to the airport(point of entry) to get her work permit. Another person share the same news too, she had a visiting visa, got married, travelled with the husband back to CA and got work permit too.

Wished I knew about that route earlier than this SOWP route. Tough I will still say some people are luck and still get SOWP approval in a short while, but from statistics on this thread it usually far exceed the processing time stated.

I pray God to open a book of remembrance on our applications and favour it with approvals in Jesus name. Amen

I sent them my medicals through CSE, they acknowledged it, passed it after a while.

She went with visiting visa, landed, she applied for work permit in canada which takes about a month and she went back to port of entry to get it....tough they mentioned it only works for open permit not the normal work permit that requires LIMA.

Like someone said, visiting visit isn't easy to get tough.

Try and find out from other people living in Canada presently.

Open work permit is for the spouse of students and PGWP holders and the normal work permit requires one to have a LIMA before applying for it. Kindly Google it dear.
