sellydion: Thank you so much for this.. Not telling us how you handled things when caught in the NSE war doesn’t add up.. What if doors were closed and one could not get out, how do you deal with it ? Take CCNN for example, the door was closed for up to a week! No single buyer and when buyers surfaced we all know what happened.. fast falling. All I know is both JIJO and long term got good side and bad side. My first 3 million naira loss was from JIJO and just 3 weeks after selling the stock moved above my entry price.. patient sometimes is needed ..And I’ll always use what happened to one oga here as an example.. he’s a fast runner and always tell others to run immediately a stock goes on - One day I chat him to tell me exactly what happened and how he handled it, then I found out he left some important details. He entered a stock at high price and immediately after entry the stock started reversing from 3 to 0.80 did you know that 1) He did not sell 2) He averaged down with every available cash even money from dividend 3) After 4 years that stock traded for above 4 naira and he made close to 70 million naira as profit.. Thanks to long term But when he is telling us to run here he’ll talk as if he as if nothing good came out from holding that long.. The only thing we should worry about is the company. I know someone will still say “if” he had sold earlier he would have bought more units at 0.80.. That word “IF” i no won hear am.. 6 Likes |

onegentleguy: Better... even though the daily volume of Caverton is not very encouraging. Good info and market will react to this in q3 result although there is still some time for it to go lower if the index misbehaves. Also, people need to read the post carefully else they may think Caverton is the new carrier for Honeywell... |

swilo: That company (CAVERTON) is currently damn too CHEAP. ...presently about the cheapest stock on the Nigeria Stock Exchange !! Remember: "One of the most powerful weapon of SUCEESS or failure within the stock market is with the ability to take advantage of the 'gap' between current perception and REAL VALUE. ...knowing how and when to align with that 'gap' is the core 'survival mark' of a WINING INVESTOR !!" ~Sinclair 1 Like |

onegentleguy: We disagree! Our idea of cheap here is those selling at less than 30Kobo... Since we can hire Dangote trucks that just dropped cement at a depot to carry our kaya from Oscar Onyema. We prefer those stocks we can use about 250K to get 7 digit units.. 5 Likes |

MSCI PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT- AS AT 19 SEPTEMBER 2018/GENERAL COMMENT Yesterday for the All share Index was like a draw for the match between the bulls and the bears, but i am sure a lot us were not too dissapointed. What I observed is that the news watchers are still looking for money to put invest in the market. Let us see if they will show up today. I terms of expected high and low, the level for today is just like yesterday, the difference is not much. As to the fact that some results for 3rd quarter that are guaranteed to be good or bad. I will like to pick 3 as follows: COMPANY EXPECTED RESULT- COMPARED WITH 3RD QTR 2017 REASON Transcorp Very Good The power Investment/plan to go into more oil exploration by next year. I believe MSCI will continue to support this stock OANDO Excellent Too much pressure on Management to perform. Received their newsletter in my mail this week. The number of OIL well is just too much. MSCI bought SEPLAT at a time and exit within a very short period. Fund continues to by OANDO. With the Oil price still above NGN70, except the unexpected happens, good result is a forgone issue. DANGOTE FLOUR MILLS BAD Squeezing of profit margin. Profit for sale of Noodle business was reported in about this time last year. The Flour Milling business is becoming too competitive. No wonder the price of flour is to be increased, but with the open gate of the Industry to new entrants, no company can monopolise the market. Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). N:B 1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months. 2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market. 3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock markt crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding. 4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts, you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. |
