Mechanical engineering. But my last pre-qualification form to university of saskatchewan I changed to biological engineering due to reject twice by mech. And because of my interest in biofuels.

Try and search for schools thats not relatively cheap. The fact is that people (especially engineering applicants) consider two things while searching for a school.

1) the tuition fee. People tend to rush to universities with lower tuition.
2) the ranking amongst other universities.

Thank you

Thanks , I applied for Agribusiness and it is actually an UG course. Thanks for your input.

jandj:

Bros,

1)What course did u apply for? And what's it's relationship with your UG course? What's it's relationship with your employment over the years? Is there any progression? If it's different, explain this very well in your SOP.

2) proof your home ties with Nigeria. You applied in Dubai. You have to explain what you are doing at Dubai and the plans you have to come back to Nigeria.

Good luck as u re-apply.

I believe there are exceptions to the rule. For example, if your program of study is 2 years, and your passport validity is 1.5 years, you cannot ordinarily renew your passport unless it is remaining 6 months or less to expire. Under such circumstances, I think I have heard that they may give you 1.5 years visa per the validity of your passport. If your passport validity is less than 6 months, the rule as stated by you may be applied since you can renew your passport and save everyone stress in the near future.

For USA visit visa, the visa validity can go beyond the passport validity. Upon expiry, you can travel with the old expired passport with valid visa as well as the renewed passport.

Valid!

Hey guys i learnt that anyone above 25 years of age have a slim chance of getting Canada study permit.

Also anyone going for PGD. How true is this?

Meanwhile....You all that have been approved try and add your ages and state if it's masters or pdg you are going for. Thanks!

Misconception. People don’t need to state their ages please

Please. Is it that a GPA of 3.78/5.0 cannot get a masters program in canada for engineering?

University of newbrunswick : reject twice
University of saskatchewan: reject twice at pre-application form level.
Queen's university kingston: no spot for me
Saskatchewan again: no response on pre-qualification form (changed department)

Please I need advise on schools that have high acceptance rate. And now January start has been taken away again..

I need heads up please.

Try Dalhousie university M.ENG but no funding , you might get admission . It is the 12th best university in Canada. Goodluck

Lol.. this only states the number of PG students and not the number of applicants. Don't be surprised that UToronto has the highest rejection rate too.

APRIL/MAY/JUNE/JULY/AUGUST APPLICANTS WHO HAVE SHARED THEIR PROFILES
Note: this is not a list of fall/winter applicants. It is strictly a list study permit applicants who have responded to and given
their profiles to help establish a timeline as to how CIC operates. Based on the analysis of the data, it is holding true
that biometrics is often requested within 24 hrs to 2 days after transmission for online applicants; review of eligibility is started within 8-10 weeks, medical call between 10-12 weeks and decision dished out within 12-14 weeks. Paper Application it seems is significantly faster than online application. As usual, there are outliers to this average. We shall get madame @Goinforward when she gets back online, to come and pray and reach out to the throne of grace on behalf of all applicants. For all the applicants listed below who were so generous in sharing their profiles, we say a special thank you and more grace. It shall surely end in praise!!

It is holding true so far that within 1-2 days is biometrics call, after 8-9 weeks, review of eligibility started, 10-12 weeks medical call, 12-14 weeks decisions are handed out. Ironically, the first 3 universities listed have the lowest admission rates

I was wondering too, coz i know those schools are top Canadian schools

Try Western uni or ryerson . Emma4eva got admission into the 2 unis with 3.65/5.0 gpa. I had no idea if he had any related work experience which must have enhanced his application or perharps how tight his application was.

inquiry is free, then when you decide on what you want he will tell you the price, but his office is in owerri
We have agents here... I think Lagos2Canna is one... When he's on fire, he runs back to this house for advice sef. I suggest people that have been active and helpful here should be given right of first refusal. Not after providing free advise, the we carry the money elsewhere. Just thinking aloud.

I'm in Canadian vfs at this very moment to do biometrics, been here since 8am, no one has done biometrics as they claim the system has no network.

I hope this network issue is handled quickly.
