I agree with you. These folks are deluded and there level of reasoning is too primitive and basal. In their unelightened mind, the hijab is a compulsory way their woman must dress and those ones have been brainwashed to believe God requires that from them. it's not my business, each to his own but when we have institutions we need to respect rules and regulations and if there is a religious neutral dress code somewhere it must be enforced. We can't have islamic fundamentalists taking over policy.

i can only support this if its a private school.

but even at that, they will force christians to wear hijab or cover their hair by force at any government parastatals in the north. even in secondary schools, christians are forced to cover there hair against their wish. you can imagine christians not having break during easther period.

i have a lecturer who stipulated it as a rule that all hair must be covered in his class regardless of your religion. i made sure his idiotic brain was dragged to the school authorities by simply not complying.

but as i said, i can only support this if its a private school.

I understand the view of the principal as I don’t like the fact that Muslims will want to put on hijab in a school funded with the tax dollars of Christians, Muslims and traditionalists. I personally wouldn’t want my children in a class with any girl putting on hijab, it is a security issue given the actions of terrorists professing Islam but what can we do when the Muslims insist on putting on the head scarf?

In the circumstance, I would advice Christian parents who are worried about the safety of their kids to save hard and try and enrol their kids in strictly Christian or secular schools where hijab will be prohibited. That is what I do if I were a parent. For now, muslims are allowed by law to put on their heads scarfs. We should move on to other things and not give that terrorist organization called MURIC the sounding board to espouse their fundamentalist BS!

This issue should be resolved fast and not used by bigots to garner sympathy and votes from their base.

Buy honestly, will it hurt any1 if they wear their short hijab? It's what their religion dictates, do not expose certain parts of the body..... its explicit. How different is this act from that of Christians being persecuted elsewhere for following a different creed? There's need for religious tolerance of other faiths.
