There’s been a continuous discussion about whether marriage is an achievement or not. While some people insist that marriage is an achievement because it accords women respect in this part of the world, others insist that marriage is just another phase of life and not an achievement.

yes, because he who has found a wife has found a good thing.

Marriage is a step a person must take in the journey to be a man, a responsible and complete man

its just that this generation has tarnished the spotless image of marriage.

all the baby mama and daddy shit has spoiled God's institution on earth.

Not an achievement.

Just another stage in life.

From being a zygote, to an embryo, to a baby, to a kid, to a teen, to an adult, to a husband, to a dad, to an elder, to a granddad, to a great grandpa, to a great great grandpa, to the grave.


All stages of life.



The achievement is actually living a successful and great life(there will always be ups and downs), now successful doesn't necessarily mean having alll the riches in the world, but being able to influence positively the lives of those around us(including ur spouse, kids, or even when one is single, those around you). Now, that's an achievement.


Anyone can get married, but not everyone thinks about positively impacting the lives around them.

If it is one of the things on your to-do list, and you're able to tick it off......yes; it is a personal achievement. If it isn't on your to-do list, you aren't in any way an underachiever for not being married. We set our goals individually, and go about achieving them.

though i cant wait to get married, but i'll say NO, marriage is never an achievement.
i see it as a vehicle thats to drive me/her towards our lives purpose.

Yes and No. Value is set by individuals, if you consider marriage as valuable, YES it is... If you don't then No it is not.

whether we like it or not as young people apart from going to school and greeting a nice job we also dream of settling down with the right spouse and having kids.


As teens we make a mental list of these things even of its in our heads.

so successfully getting married to a good spouse and staying means you can tick off on your list of things you planned to accomplish as an adult.

now , letting marriage hinder you from achieving other things in life is a different topic on its own.

if u marry @ the age of 40 multiply it by 2 and divide it by 4... the outcome is the remainder of ur life !!!
