The election becomes inconclusive only if there were areas or polling units where election didn't hold at all, and the number of registered voters there are more than the margin of victory.
Cancelled votes are cancelled.They have voted, but their votes are equated to those who didn't come out to vote at all

Okk.I now get you. I have a vague idea that there are other cases where election can be inconclusive apat from the usual 25% law.

If its 108, only a rerun is possible. Now, where there are cancelled vote, the result of that LGA will not be declared.
Example APC 35,000 pdp 36, 000 (29 LGA)
Boripe cancelled(not voided) due to irregularities/violence etc
1. Boripe registered voters: 2000. A rerun(not runoff) will be done as 2000 is greater than the margin
2. Boripe registered voters 500: no rerun

There is only on condition for run-off in Nigerian law is if a party has simple majority but didnt get 25% of valid votes in 2/3 of the states/LGA

Rerun: contested by all parties
Runoff: contested by two..the party with simple majority and the party with the highest number of 25% in the LGAs contested.

People have the unofficial result...even BBC Pidgin English has pasted it...no agent complained....no party complained...so why is INEC cancelling result? I think something is not right...

No results were cancelled. But some polling units were cancelled and the results there were never counted .

Dictator Buhari has instructed them not to declare that PDP won Osun. Even though though INEC annouced results show that PDP has won despite the sudden disapperance of 1000 PDP votes in Ayedaade LGA.

Wow, I haven't seen that news. I've been on channels and NTA all day and all LGA have been declared as fully counted and valid.
If this news is true, then a re-run in the affected polling unit becomes almost inevitable given the low winning margin(353)
