Why is it taking them so long to announce the winner now, are they trying to pull a stunt or what? This is getting suspicious oo, they should announce the winner and allow people to rest now. I suspect inec is trying to tamper with the results, because they already know the winner, but they are scared of announcing it... We are waiting angry

Wow, I haven't seen that news. I've been on channels and NTA all day and all LGA have been declared as fully counted and valid.
If this news is true, then a re-run in the affected polling unit becomes almost inevitable given the low winning margin(353)

don't mind him pls.....nothing like re-run . no cancellation in all the local government as announced by INEC on TV.

If its 108, only a rerun is possible. Now, where there are cancelled vote, the result of that LGA will not be declared.
Example APC 35,000 pdp 36, 000 (29 LGA)
Boripe cancelled(not voided) due to irregularities/violence etc
1. Boripe registered voters: 2000. A rerun(not runoff) will be done as 2000 is greater than the margin
2. Boripe registered voters 500: no rerun

There is only on condition for run-off in Nigerian law is if a party has simple majority but didnt get 25% of valid votes in 2/3 of the states/LGA

Rerun: contested by all parties
Runoff: contested by two..the party with simple majority and the party with the highest number of 25% in the LGAs contested.
What exactly are you typing
This is neither a rerun nor a runoff .
It is an inconclusive election. And it will soon be declared inconclusive. Then those polling units that were cancelled and therefore not counted earlier . Will vote and now be counted.
Na so English hard reach to understand? undecided

I don't support any political party as I believe that they are all bird of the same feather. However, the will of the majority should be respected as enshrined in the constitution. The best man should not win, the man with the mandate of the Majority should.

I don't know why osun will vote someone so unserious and obviously uneducated though. But then, the options are thin

My dear, in an inconclusive election, a rerun is carried out to solve the impasse
Or if I may ask, the election after an inconclusive result is called what? (Check the kogi situation and I think rivers state too)

and if by debt, USA should be locked down. Debt status is not what is used to determine which state or country is doing badly but debt management. This is still your opinion tho

How hard is it for you to comprehend simple English na
No results were cancelled. But some polling units were cancelled and the results there were never counted .
The results from the Local Governments, having been collated and accepted, INEC can't go back again to those 'cancelled ' units. Only the courts can.
This election is over and done with, I'm sorry to say. Once they're through transferring collated results to Form E06, the returning officer will announce the winner.

it baffles me too.. how can people vote for someone that has no track record of any achievement in his life whether education or business and has never held any major decision-making position before, and all he has to sell are his dance steps and family name?
people whose children couldn't get a 50k job even with masters are voting for someone that doesn't even know what it takes to make 5 credits in SSCE?!!!!

Dictator Buhari has instructed them not to declare that PDP won Osun. Even though though INEC annouced results show that PDP has won despite the sudden disapperance of 1000 PDP votes in Ayedaade LGA.

lol. Explain to me. I didn't hit you I guess. I think I spoke about the situation. Meanwhile, this is politics and not economics

From the part of economics, the debt could cause a damage. That is right.
But debt status isn't a criterion to choosing a party or person that will rule a state.

You think PDP will rule without also borrowing?

Hit the issue and not the person

It is obvious you are clawing at straws. APC should start preparing for tribunal though as PDP will be declared winner. Anything else is a slap on the constitution.

agreed. And that should be the issue.

Don't just come and shout debt as if it is a criterion to choose a leader. Everyone will borrow to run a state. It is normal. What are they using it for? If aregbesola did the right thing, should there be a problem?

Would.yuu say pdp should take over Lagos for debt condition.? Lagos has the highest debt

A whole ward was cancelled in Osogbo!
And some other polling units somewhere else . I don’t have all the details.
But even if it’s just one polling unit , it’s still inconclusive! Except the number of registered voters there are not up to 530 or whatever the difference is .
