The truth is recommending stocks here is becoming an issue. The reason I stopped posting the weekly stock recommendations here. Also, last week or so, I posted a story on shareholders' worry on the financial health of Skye Bank. It was a way of warning people about the stock too. Like I pointed out yesterday, Coolcash1, on Sept 8, dropped a hint on a possible fall of Skye Bank, which I grabbed and did some checks on. When I confirmed the signal, I acted fast. Well, I humbly apologize for that sha. Mcy56: 2 Likes |

Q. What's the fate of Skye Bank Shareholders? A. Is there anything like Skye Bank anymore? Let's all swallow this bitter truth and move on. Skye Bank is in a far worse state than BankPHD was when they got nationalised. Am surprised it took this long to finally bury that corpse! 1 Like |

dipoolowoo: I beg to disagree. Recommending stocks has never been an issue. The big issue results when you recommend a stock claiming insider info, grapevine info, etc when that person actually has no information other than the company's spreadsheet and speculation. That one is 100 times worse than MH! A person claiming insider knowledge might get away with it once or twice, after all a dead clock is always right twice a day, but that doesn't mean that he has any insider information. Make I still dey my corner dey observe una shaaa. Na Angel Michael go take koboko finish some people soon. 1 Like |

In my view, Skye Bank woes entered gear 5 in 2015, when Tunde Ayeni donated N2 billion for Jonathan's second term ambition. After APC won the poll, it was natural to go after his business. It was no surprise that a year after, the CBN took over the bank. Jim Ovia, Tony Elumelu and Herbert Wigwe have to be very careful with the way they romance Ambode of Lagos State. I must give it to Dangote. He knows how to mix politics with business. In Nigeria, politicians love to crush the enemy anyway, anyhow. Ajimobi and Ayefele comes to mind. One has to be very careful with them. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Northeastern: 2:18am On Sep 24, 2018 |
dipoolowoo: And you think Dangote can be crushed just like that? When you're the man, party divides rarely matter. Trump that is known for his tirade against footballers taking a knee had to soft pedal when Nike made Colin Kaepernick the face of their 30th just do it campaign. And beyond politics, Ayeni granted over 200bn naira loan to himself, it is only a thief that has something to hide that would support a fund raiser with 2bn naira. |

How do you revoke the license of a bank and still retain same old management. Besides from where did Polaris bank come from and who are the owners. You don't just take people's life saving and hand over to people they don't know or heard of before. Who does that kind of thing. I just know the last has not been heard of this type of take over. It obviously must be a political foe been targeted that has affected innocent customers of the bank. Yet you expect investor confidence in this type of environment. 2 Likes |

gift01:Ayeni took 70billion from skye. But he had a total of 150billion from the banking industry. Most of this was spent in power sector investments eg Ibadan and yola discos https://www.thecable.ng/httpswww-thecable-ngexclusive-tunde-ayeni-wrecked-skye-bank-management-writes-osinbajo/amp |
