Really good to see Dipoolowo make posts aside giving links to news articles. And I think the posts have been level-headed. I hope you continue to contribute to discussions after Skyebank brouhaha dies down and people move on. Well done sir.

Ayeni took 70billion from skye. But he had a total of 150billion from the banking industry. Most of this was spent in power sector investments eg Ibadan and yola discos

Ibadan disco collected money from government (CBN) for power and diverted it.

But why will anyone invest in an organization without good corporate governance?

This is why FA outweigh TA.

Nigeria is the most delicate country to invest your assets, we lack competent regulatory bodies. NSE represents permanent n selfish interest of some MAFIA.SEC is handicap and in a vegetative state. No scape goat could be caught,Coz of d slogan Na we we we.
How can one explain the deeds of bisi onasanya who greedily and selfishly destroyed first bank by granting unsecured loans to his friends and accolades in the oil industry? Uptil now fbn has not recovered.
Tunde ayeni, his selfishness destroy skybank
Pascal dozie n gangs are on the mission to destroy diamond bank
Wale Tinubu, he single handedly ruined oando
Oba otudeko is busy writing the obituary of Honeywell flour mills
From North to South the story is d same
Executive exuberance is the name of the game
No one can predict the future of NSE
VIGILANT AND FINANCIAL INTELLIGENT ARE WORTHLESS IN ANY ENVIRONMENT THAT IS CONTROLLED BY THE MAFIANS.
ONLY GOD KNOWS IF NSE CAN SEE BULL IN D NEXŤ FIVE YEARS.
THE EXECUTHIEF IN NIG ARE JUST TOO SOPHISTICATED. ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH OF RETIREMENT FUNDS HAVE BEEN LOST TO THE MALPRACTICES IN NSE.
FOR THOSE LONGTIME INVESTORS, BE WARNED, NSE IS NOT A PLACE FOR YOU. THE RULE OF NSE IS JIJO

STILL THERE IS NO HOPE IN SIGHT.

FYI, good corporate governance does not exist in Nigeria. What exist is selfish interest. How on earth could Lame NSE the political susceptible CBN and THE HANDICAP SEC woke up one day and announced the burial of sky bank with no prior announcement of its obituary?
A good investor with a good lawyer will make fortune from this useless regulatory agencies that only serve the interest of the oligarchy.
All the high volume of sky traded on NSE in the last one month was dumped by the Oligarchs n Nigeria aristocrats. Now the minority shareholders suffer the consequence. Some pension funds are lost 4ever,JIJO are trapped

Obituary was announced when SKYE started depending on CBN to meet its obligation to depositors.

Any pension fund that invested in SKYE and trapped till now should be liquidated. Before PENCOM does not even allow them to invest in companies that are not paying dividend! How much more one without result.

Don't even mention CBN, SEC and NSE. These agencies are mere figure-heads.

As at the time, last Friday, the CBN announced Polaris Bank as the new owner of Skye Bank, their website was yet to be created. The site was created by 8:16pm, which the company is yet to be duly registered.

This goes to show you that we are not serious in the country. Same way Nigeria Air faded away.

I disagree with you, what was announced was ill heath. Coz I could only see sky bank in a state of status epilepticus. Today the bank daily price chart rises, tomorrow its down, and dz was not unique to only skybank. Most of the quoted companies on NSE exhibit dz features. Hence there was no announcement, only suspiciousness by financial brilliant people. As at the time of last CBN intervention in 2015/16 the political exposed regulator was assuring investors that all banks in Nigeria are saved n healthy.

Agreed, but FA paints a better picture of an organization than TA.

TA won't give you that picture, in-fact with TA will make you trade dead organization.

MSCI PORTFOLIO MOVEMENT- AS AT 21 SEPTEMBER 2018/GENERAL COMMENT

MSCI still on market imposed holiday. This week will likely start on a losing note. No thanks to the Skye Bank issue. Market likely to be in bad mood for the week (I am forgetting the spike in Brent Price early this morning). The 32,600/32700 level has already shown up as a resistance point.

For the expected trading range high and low for the day (watch for the lows this week): High to be at 32724.38 and low at 32415.90. Personally, I am withdrawing all my buy orders immediately to take a better view of the market again.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).

N:B

1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market.

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock markt crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts, you will see the various sources where the data can be verified.

You don't need to generalize .

Their are companies with good good corporate governance on the NSE.

SKYE bank issues is not new to anyone here.

Good morning.

We begin our pre-market coverage of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Pre market runs from 9.30 to 10am daily on the NSE.

During this period, investors can place orders, but no trade occurs.

Figures will take the format Bid(k) vs Offer(k).

Bid represents the amount of stocks people want to buy.

Offer the number of stocks, people wish to sell.

K represents thousands.

Net bid means there are no offers for a stock.

Net offer means there are no buyers for a stock as at pre market.

Bid vs Offer figures are subject to change all through the day.

Access Bank 970k bid vs 80k offered

Dangote Cement 1k bid vs 200 units offered

FBN Holdings 30k bid vs 600 units offered

Seplat Petroleum 50 units net bid

UBA Plc 300 units bid vs 35k offered

Wapco 50k bid vs 2k offered

Zenith Bank 144k bid vs 10k offered

Dangote Flour 36k bid vs 13k offered

Dangote Sugar 1k bid vs 41k offered

Guaranty Trust Bank 10k bid vs 10k offered

International Breweries 1k bid vs 40k offered

Nigerian Breweries 6k bid vs 20k offered

Unilever Nigeria 21k bid vs 3k offered
