I was in a meeting yesterday afternoon(I no be pagan oh, elections are close at hand)when a friend who is a doctor from Abia State too called me to tell me that Enyimba is currently taking out the trash, I didn't believe him till I saw the match highlights, there is absolutely no reason why I won't fly down to Aba to watch that Semifinal, none at all. I was very impressed with the brand of football they showed, even when they were 2-1 up, a delicate lead going into the second half I thought they would fall back but no Sir, they kept at it, even at 3-1 I was impressed. All Enyimba needs is a progressive governor that likes Sport, I am not exactly extolling Ikpeazu's credentials as a governor but I think he has been trying in that aspect. If Abia warriors could also get a stadium, stake a claim among the big boys in Nigerian and African football then the economic development that will bring about would be enormous, first of all there will be constant development of talent, good stadia requite good roads for easy access and that will lead to road development and electricity will need to be supplied for efficient functioning of these stadia and that would improve the entire State. We could become the London of Nigeria, based on football though for now

Agreed 100%

Enyimba's last two games on that New pitch is a complete testament that some of these Nigerian clubs can actually play good entertaining football if they have good pitches. Now you can see how you are willing to travel all the way down to watch their next game. That is it. Play good football and you will see fans trooping in.

The WestHam vs Chelsea game was running almost concurrently with the Enyimab vs Rayon game but I preferred to watch the Enyimba game. Let these clubs start playing good football and people will be willing to watch them on TV.

If I am in the Port Harcourt area the weekend Enyimba will play Raja Casablanca be sure I will make the trip down to Aba. cheesy

I am really happy that ''His execellency'' was there at the stadium yesterday. Refurbishing the stadium is a testament of his desire to take Enyimba back to its Glory days. Enyimba used to have foreign nationals in their team. Caleb, the Rayon Sport striker that scored their only goal IMO is better than our own striker Sunday Adetunji. We need to get that guy.

He was superb today. The more his teammates trust him the more goals he will get. His coach has faith in him and he is doing the business. I honestly I'm shocked by how quickly he has taken to Europe. Goes to show that the NPFL is not as poor as some want us to think, this boy was readied for professional football.

Can somebody explain why a player who is showing some good promise, nobody talks about him or considers him. He is playing senior football not youth football. but is largely ignored, WHY

But when a player who has played mainly youth football and has been in Europe for two seasons. Scores his first senior goal . There is euphoric explosive celebration and accolades left right and center, that he has ARRIVED.

Is that not hypocritical double standard and bias

If you have not performed well enough, what is the point declaring? I[b]f you have performed well enough, shouldn’t your performance attract the coach?

Is that not the problem of contradiction we have in the NFF when players who have done nothing are invited to the SE.

It seems if you have someone to advocate for you then you are invited and tagged. SPECAIL TALENT, when u have done nothing.

When I talk to Ovie he was interested in Nigeria but didn't feel it was his place to be making commitment online in the Media.

Add to that you are playing for England U21 then you are saying you want to play for Nigeria. That's very stupid and Nigeria have not made any commitment to you.

As they say a bird in hand - - - -

Otherwise you could be biting the hands that feed you in England cause yourself bad publicity get tagged in the negative and loose credibility.

Now Tega Onomah, Seyi, Ademola, etc can openly in the media talk about Nigeria because they have outgrown the U21in England without courting controversy and creating bad publicity by change of allegiance.

Exactly the same thing Dominic Iorfa has done.

It's like saying u get job, before the other job come u go talk for public say u wan comot, find level 4 another place, no be foolishness be dat

Or how u see am bros❓

But before this time the NFF should have already have some form of relationship with them.

I must admit that they actually played some eye catching stuff at times. The strikers need more gingering because they seem to be lacking confidence maybe filling Mfon's void is lingering in their minds. It really could have been 10 if they took more of their chances.

The striker thing is general for the NPFL Clubs. The fairly good ones have left for greener pastures else I dont know why Enyimba cannot shop for a better striker than Sunday Adetunji.

Sunday Adetunji normally is a good striker. He was supposed to be in CHAN but he gruesomely broke his arm after scoring a brace in an away match against ABS. Just give him time and I bet he will come good for u guys.

grin Was Yesterday's game also past Glory.

Enyimba is the most consistent Club in the NPFL, with vast experience of continental football. We are not just a Nigerian Giant. We are an African Giant.

We have almost always finished amongst the top 4 every season in the NPFL since 2001. And have almost always participated in CAF competitions. We are not like other NPFL Clubs that are flash in the pan. They win league this year and relegate the next season. grin And losing to clubs from Botswana and Benin on the continent.

Enyimba is a Club poised for excellence. We have a Rich Pedigree that we must always maintain. And that is our major driving force. wink

Firstly, a club has a right to decline offers from other clubs. It happens everywhere even in well established leagues in Europe.

Then Ezeji said Enyimba has been sleeping since after winning the two CAF Champions league. YES, he is very right. For Enyimba's standard they have been sleeping. But know that during this sleeping period we won more league titles than any other club in Nigeria. We also won FA cups. We hardly missed out on Continental competitions because we hardly finish outside the top 4 places. Enyimba was supposed to have built up from their successes from early to mid 2000s but we went to sleep. Else we would be on the same pedestal as Ah-Ahly, Zamalek, Esparance, Raja Cassablance etc by now grin

Anyway, Shehu returned to training like a couple of days ago and made the matchday squad for Bursaspor's last game on September 21 vs Istanbul BB. He was on the bench.

On Danjuma, hmmmmm... Arnaut as a 9? Well, time will tell... wink
