^^^^^ Despite ranting for 5 pages, the dog will not post even ONE city in entire Nigeria EXCEPT Onitsha that does not have a Teaching Hospital or a Federal Medical Center. But he will try in Vain to post Pictures of Catholic hospital and Anglican hospitals in the Onitsha and try to pass them off as Government Tertiary Hospitals. I hope anyone who has viewed this thread understand my own outrage against Ngige and Peter Obi when they failed to upgrade Onitsha General Hospital to a Specialist Hospital or a branch of Anambra State University teaching Hospital. Even cities like Abakaliki which we like to laugh at have two better tertiary hospital system compared to Onitsha which has none. To break this down in plain language for a lay person. What i am saying is that if you have a road traffic accident in Onitsha or Abakaliki which involve fractures and advanced medical care, you are very likely to die if you had the accident in Onitsha than if you had the accident in Abakaliki or even Aba! This is why i think providing a solid and well equipped tertiary hospital in Onitsha will be Obiano's greatest legacy not necessarily building of flyover. Just as building University of Nigeria Nsukka, to educate masses of people in Nigeria rather than going abroad for university education was Zik's greatest legacy not really all the roads he tarred in Enu-Onicha. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Chri08102702694: My kind of work makes it difficult for me to come down. I feel pained about it because there are many projects I want to do in the state but I have not been opportune to come around. I bet you, if i find myself in the state, I will spend my whole going to all these places I am seeing this thread. I will really love to go round. |

omadeltason: He said the project will take 3-4years for completion. This is a year now and we have not seen anything about it. I really wish that airport will be a reality because the hype has been much. |

AnambraDota: This is true. The budget for the project was very huge for the state government to pull it off. Even for a PPP project, the amount is still very high to get anything out of the project. He really played ndi-anambra well to get his second term. |

All we need now is for Obiano to complete the cicle of transformation by appointing a new compete Chief medical Director (CMD) for the new Specialist Hospital , Onitsha. Somebody who has several years of experience working in a place like UNTH or LUTH so that he could transform the new Onitsha Specialist Hospital. Leaving the place to be run my a bunch of inexperienced folks will not change much. The new CMD will transform the place and make it run like a true center of excellence. 1 Like |

You father is a dog. All the efforts you are making to trigger an e-fight between states will soon pay off then you will blame your ancestors here. You are even dumber than I thought. How many teaching hospitals are in Abia, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi? Please answer us. Now in Anambra we have 2 teaching hospitals, one for state and one for the FG, located in Awka and Nnewi respectively. Is it a must that teaching hospitals will be replicated in all the cities in a state? If yes, show us any state that has done it for you to come here to spew nonsense. Aside these teaching hospitals, Anambra has Onitsha general hospital, which has been upgraded into a specialist hospital. This is outside countless mission hospitals that are being financially sponsored by the state govt. Tell me any state that can compete with Anambra in the light of the afore-mentioned. Dumb useless old man. [s] OreMI22:[/s] 2 Likes |

He said, she said. Has the FG completed the 2nd Niger bridge even after giving you dates from time to time? Obiano said 3yrs, and I am sure it may not likely be exactly 3yrs. In my mind it is between 4-5yrs. We need to be realistic most time. Develpeast: 2 Likes |

Your input on how to run or how the hospital is being operated is none of your business. You are not more intelligent than the people running it, if not you wouldn't be here all the time crying out of envy and frustration. Onitsha General hospital(Specialist hospital) is being run very well by a Harvard trained professor. Stop breaking your head about Anambra and focus more on how you can rescue your Abia state from the present disaster it is facing. You have never opened a thread to talk about how badly your state is run but you are always here deceiving yourself. [s] OreMI22:[/s] 2 Likes |

Obiano's transformation of Onitsha Hospital is quiet commendable, not disputing that. The issue with Ngige and Obi was that they came when Anambra was almost a failed state and the tremendous improvement the state made aftermath can be credited to both. My grouse with Obiano is that he inherited a solvent state but keep messing up, what if he was bequeathed with a state like Osun or Abia i wonder what we will be doing by now. Anambra development should have pass the current stage and the plethora of abandoned projects littering the state is another sore point oh his administration. He made considerable progress in advancing the state in many sectors that were comatose before his entrance but he really messed up with petty clannish and vindictive politics. Any rabbies infested dog that bark at me will be roundly ignored OreMI22: 1 Like |

Chri08102702694:Holy Rosary hospital, Charles Borromeo hospital and Iyienu Hospital are not government hospitals. Lets not distort facts here. Onitsh is a place that needs a functional multispecialist hospital owned and financed by the government. The cost of seeking healthcare and the level of expertise in private hospitals cannot be compared to that of a functional government hospital. The bolded is fallacious.....I am in the system and cases are often referred out than in cost of lack of equipment and adequate manpower at most of our general hospital. Except Emejulu and Ekweogwu can you name any other neurosurgeon in Anambra as a whole. Onitsha can't even boast of one. Nursing specialists that mann critical care units are all either working at Nnewi or FMC Asaba even our very own ANSUTH doesn't pay the full CONMESS/CONHESS salary to retain this specialists doctors, nurses and others. Lets stop embellishing facts. Onitsha needs upgrade from manpower, equipments and workers welfare. The recent refurbishing of hospitals are welcomed but should not be politicized. Facts should be stated as it is. I am a fully blooded Anambrarian. Insults should be directed to the spambots. Thank you 2 Likes |

All the mission institutions in Onitsha are equally state government institutions because it is the state govt that sponsors and funds them both salaries and infrastructures. Onitsha General hospital which has been upgraded to a Specialist hospital is equally a full fledged govt hospital. This is aside numerous privates hospitals across the city. Anambra has 2 state teaching hospitals already in Awka and Nnewi. Now tell us which other state whether in the SE or beyond that has more tertiary health facilities as Anambra in their state. Or are you saying that teaching hospitals should be replicated in all the cities in a state, if yes, then show us any state that has been able to achieve such feat. MrBottle: 2 Likes |

Obiano is a noismaker, all the equipment at Onitsha General hospital are obsolete. Whenever i want to be attended medically FMG Asaba or any other private like Toronto and Borromeow are preferable. MrBottle: |
Re: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by MrBottle: 3:53pm On Sep 24, 2018 |
AnambraDota:Boromeo and Iyienu are forces to be reckon with. Duly accredited and managed. Same can't be said of Toronto with its retinue of unlicensed personnel...which is totally not okay. If you want to train manpower get government accreditation. ...follow the footsteps of Boromeo, Iyienu and Waterside. St Joseph Adazi is a cardiothoracic epicentre in anambra thanks to Peter Obi. There is a Rise clinic at Adazi Nnukwu, lifeline or lifebridge or something like that at Awka...a fertility hospital. Many modernised, internationally reputable and equally equipped private hospitals scattered all over Anambra. But Onitsha should be a conglomerate of all specialties...where every specialty will be represented not fragmented. Except Onyeyili....name any other surgeon at Onitsha general...whether neuro, cardio, general, etc. It is not supposed to be. Meanwhile that man needs accolades. 2 Likes |

As part of the efforts of His Excellency, Chief Dr. Willie M. Obiano to relocate the film industry to it's base in Anambra, the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Empowerment and Creative Economy, Hon. Bonaventure Enemali accompanied by his permanent secretary, Mrs. Steph Keri Uzor visited the set location in Awka for the shooting of the movie "MY PRIVATE PART", to lend moral support to the first team of producers and actors who answered the call to relocate Nollywood to Anambra. #NollywoodinAnambra #YouthEmpowermentAndCreativeEconomy 3 Likes
