dreyman26: My post is a bit long. I'll be sharing the full breakdown of my interview today so as to help others the same way some people took time to help me organize things.
I had my interview today.
So we lodged at sappers Lounge inside bonny cantonment. Got to the embassy around 5:30am. Waited till 6am at a computer Shop Then proceeded to the German gate and I was fourth on the line. The Mopol asked me to go and drop my bag at the car park which I paid 1.5k for the woman to help me keep it. Came back and I was now 10th or so in the line. Paulinus called us in fours. Asked us to put our appointment letter inside our passport data page and then we were checked in. Then he came and asked that we should bring out passport with appointment letter inside it, the two signed application forms and he stapled them, 2photocopies of data page and 2 copies of declaration form.. He arrange those together and gave them back to me and said, don't join these with the other documents just give me back the way I arranged it. He asked us to sit down and place those sets he just arranged under our seats. Then he later called us to stand up and collected those sets he earlier arranged by himself and separated them on a desk. 1.Data page with appointment letter inside on one side 2. A set of Application form underneath declaration form underneath photocopy of Passport data page 3. Another set of application form underneath declaration page underneath photocopy of Passport data page.
These makes 3rows.
Then he asks you to arrange other documents on each row like this, a. Original admission letter on top of No 1 photocopies of the admission letter will be on the 2 and 3 mentioned above.
b. Original Proof of means on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3
c. Original Birth Certificate on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3
d. Original Biographically old document on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3.
e. Originals of all academic documents on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3... Note- from primary to NYSC certificate.
f. Original handwritten Motivation letter on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3.
g. CV on top of No 1,2and 3
h. Originals of any supporting documents on top of No 1, photocopies on 2 and 3.
He will come and check what you've been doing, if you slack.... You know the story, he will ask people to make way for you and move your humble self to the back of the long line.
He asked me to go inside... After security checks, I followed a green line to the building and sat inside. I saw a VO with low hair cut and the guy that came outside from there said the dude is good. So I began praying I get him lol... Didn't know God was planning something else. Waited for like 2hours, light beeped and I thought it was my low cut guy room until other people said it's the other room óò. Yeepa I don miss my guy. I entered the cubicle and behold it was My sister with indomie or dreadlocks hair and she's got b***s. She is pretty tho.

What period should my bank statement cover? 2. What is the minimum balance in Naira should my bank statement show? 3. At what point should I apply for interview after certifying my signature for account opening? 4. At what point MUST I move the funds to my blocked account before I could be granted visa?
I appreciate your advice/answers as I await it

The First question is, can you get admission with that in Nigeria for Msc, the answer is NO.....
Your possible option is going for another degree... Please don't come here and discourage people, I know schools in Nigeria that accept 3rd class for Masters. A lot of my friends have done their Msc in Nigeria with their 3rd class degree and I also know guys who are doing their Masters in Germany with their 3rd class degree. 4 Likes |

Hello everyone,
Well done to everyone contributing here.
Please I thought to ask 2 quick questions - I'm applying to Hochschule Wismar University 'cos they take Architecture in English. So...
1. Can my GRE & Letter of proficiency from my uni suffice for IELTS (It's a requirement on their website and I took GRE for a school in Hamburg 3 months ago but it fell through).
2. Is there anyone else who has applied or is applying to Hochschule Wismar?
Thanks in advance everyone. |

VO: You're still there? Me: Yes Ma'am, on contract basis.
VO: Oh okay, Continue pls. VO: Why not UK, US? Me: Actually my course is taught in English and it is tuition free compared to these countries though I tried US, but the tuition fee is high cos the least I found was around $20,000 a year and I will be getting this same quality of education in Germany at no cost at all. ( She was typing, nodding and side looking at me)
VO: Why Germany? Me: German Engineering us highly regarded allover the world and there is this excellent collaboration between universities in Germany and the German national Engineering industry and therefore I will be benefitting from a very high quality academic system that requires little or no tuition fee at all compared to other countries like UK,US.....( Cuts in, hold on.... Continue) and so on and I will also be able to learn a new language, a new culture and way of life also be able to socialize with people from other parts of Germany, students from all over the world and I'll be gaining an amazing experience as a foreign student studying in Germany.
VO: What plans have you made concerning your study in Germany? Me: I have secured an accommodation...(Cuts in... How did you do that?) I was lucky enough to meet a fellow student in my school who rented an apartment that's supposed to be a two room contract but she asked if I'm interested so she can add me to the contract and make it a three room contract and I gladly took the offer....(She nodded and always had this enigmatic look on her face)
VO: Who have you been contacting in the school? Me: I have been talking to the Students centre, the ATSA of the school, also I have been adding some of the alumni of the school on LinkedIn and they've been enlightening me about the school.... (Looks at me like this guy dey serious for this matter o)
VO: What do you know about Germany? Me: ( in my mind...Yeepa Mo ti daran) Germany is a federal constituent (I stuttered and regained myself).... Germany is a country located in Central western Europe...(Cuts in)...
I think she noticed I dey fear the question so she helped out by asking questions directly.
VO: What's the capital of Germany, how many countries border Germany and population and how many federal constituent states? Me: Berlin, 9 countries, 82.6million people and 16states.
VO: Okay Continue. Me: Germany dominates the Automobile And manufacturing industry...(Cuts in)
VO: in Europe? Me: Yes Ma'am
VO: Okay Continue. Me: German automotive industry is the largest employer of labor in the world. German automobile industry is highly regarded as competitive and innovative, it has the third highest car production in the world (VO looks at me and nods) and the fourth highest total vehicle production in the world. Germany is also regarded as the land of ideas and inventions with inventions and inventors such as the Xray by Wilhelm Conrad (Cuts in and corrects my pronunciation and asks me to spell and pronounce the name ... I did and we continued), the turbo jet engine by hans ohain, the internal combustion engine by August Otto.... Also Germany is one of the top research places in the world and this is symbolized by the fact that it has more than 80 Nobel laureates such as Albert Einstein, Max Planck, Karl Braun And so on. Also It's universities are ranked in the top 250 in the world..... (I stopped, she looked at me, continued typing and the lady on dyed brown hair came in to ask if the answers of the test she gave an applicant were correct....She asked me to drop the phone... They talked in German and My VO nodded in affirmation then She left... Then she said she was sorry for the interruption and I should pick up the phone)
VO: Who is your Sponsor, what does he do? Me: My Dad, he is a senior lecturer at a private University.

Me: Yes, because looking at the developments going on in Nigeria at the moment, like the dangote refinery being built here in Lagos and also the upgrading going on in the power plant where I'm working, I will be a step ahead because I have the required knowledge and skills to operate the systems in my Field of Expertise and also impactfully influence the technology of my home country. (She didn't type this time around and was looking at me straight in the eye and started typing after I finished talking and asked me to remind her of some things I said.)
VO: OK Thank you, but I have a short test for you. Me: ( Finally my village people don reach here) OK Ma'am.
Hands the sheet and says I have 10mins.
1. Square root of 225, 121, 2. What is the degree of this angle 3. Volume of a cube 4. Area of a right angle triangle.
Solved all and handed over...
Then she started talking that I should fund because of my deadline and also started advising me on how to try and get enrollment extension from school... I said thank you and wanted to leave but she kept talking lol... Five minutes later she freed me and we both exchange bye bye...
PS* Paulinus nor get issue at all, just do as he says and don't panic.
