Thanks so much for this comment. The award has been reduced to goalscoring award thereby reducing the chances of hardworking midfielders like Luka. Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Zidane etc were not known to be goalscorers yet they won the award convincingly. I hate it when the Ronaldo fan boys tend to downplay the importance of Modric in the Real Madrid team.

Modric won the award and yet people still find a way to make it about Ronaldo and Messi. Pathetic.
