Offpoint:
If our visionless and useless leaders didn't raped Nigeria to coma, I see no reason why any Nigerian would want to travelled out to start a business in any of the African countries.
Non of them match Nigeria in term Resources, may judge all past and present Nigerian leaders.

I agree with your point but the leaders are a reflection of the people. If the people were not so absorbed by absurd beliefs and practices the country would not be the way that it is.

Until Nigerians learn to value progress (by way of reason) over superstition, 'culture' and 'tradition' this will be the way of things.

They don't want foreigners doing retail. It applies to all nationals. Import to Ghana but leave small scale business for Ghanaians, how hard can that be? Serious Governments implement such laws . It's in place in Kenya, Rwanda etc. No retail business for foreigners, deal with it!!
Way to go Ghana cool

Keep your lawlessness to your country. Your leaders have refused to look out for their citizens, don't blame Ghana for that. Stay in Nigeria to hawk . The other day a boy was asking/planning to go to Accra to do mai chai by the roadside. Ridiculous. I must travel by force to go pollute countries trying to better themselves. Please I applaud Ghanaian govt . If you have no money for wholesale and bulk importing, come back home let's vote in the right people and make Nigeria great.
shut up. I do business in Kenya and Ghana and Nigeria. It's not true. Don't say what you don't know. Nigerians pull out of Ghana today, their economy will crumble the next day

If only Ghana can see the positive side of this and attract even more investors form Nigeria and other African countries, collect appropriate taxes, in the next few years they will be like Dubai

the last time I checked there Nigerians doing retail business in Kenya. yes there is need to protect local businesses but that shouldn't be an excuse for laziness. most big players like shoprite and the rest that are danger to small scale business not another small scale business. take for instance in most part of Nigeria, the Igbo people have more businesses in most town than the indigene of the towns. because of there competitive prices people tend to patronize them more, if the locals want to do business they will have to make reasonable their price too. however the government can enforce strict rules on sales of fake items so as to enable a level playing field. but since you mentioned lawlessness, I think the problem is not just business related

You idiots are on here typing Ghana this, Ghana that instead of having shame for your fatherland. If you know anyone going to Ghana, encourage them to stay in Nigeria. Encourage them to use some of the money, they are using to go to Ghana to do something here in Nigeria I.e a small business, an investment etc. all these little things are what contributes to the greatness of that “good country” you want to travel to.

More like Ghana shuts down Igbo businesses, knowing fully well that the Nigerian Government will not respond. These are some of the reasons why they will keep on agitating for a sovereign nation if not for any reason ,but for protectionism(retaliation),sadly enough the Nigerian Government has not addressed this dimension of the agitation.
What kind of an îdiot are you?

Don't mind that Ghana spokesperson forming loyalty. Africans refuse to trade among themselves but can go cup in hand to meet Chinese for loans. Ghanaians hate competition, most especially when its from Nigerians.
They won't touch the Lebanese, Indians, Chinese .... but will be quick to see that their fellow African brothers are jobless. grin grin grin

I learnt there are over 6million Nigerians in Ghana!

WTF !!!

How can a small country like Ghana let this happen?

This is one too many, they must all be deported , these are not investors.

They are involved in the retail and petty trading reserved for Ghanaians and majority are doing criminal activities.

This is now creating problems and Ghana is feeling the heat, they must go.

I can see you're so full of yourself as if Ghana depends on Nigerian businesses to survive. As a matter of fact, one of the dynamics of economics is that as one investor is expelled, another one is always on standby to take over - as in tap into the business opportunities.

More so, we are aware of how some Nigerians constitute nuisance in Ghana which brings about frustration on all levels.

Keep deceiving yourself. cool

You must be out of your mind! Apologies if you're hurt by my response.
Its so sad to see that Africans have lost their senses. You try to ridicule young Africans who don't want to steal or cross the Sahara to Europe, but believe in exploring the wide market we have in Africa.

Kindly tell me what is wrong with a man who decide to travel to a neighbouring African country to sell indomie? I guess you'll have preferred he went there to steal or sell drugs so that you can give him a bad name.

I salute the courage of Nigerian youths who look beyond the malfunction of their government, but see opportunities in neighbouring markets.
Don't see your fellow Africans as your enemies, your enemies are carting away your national wealth using choppers under the support of the elites.

Do you know who investors are ?

These people are no investors, they are engaged in retail trading which is the preserve of Ghanaians . Don’t get confused.

You morons keep saying , when you pull out Ghana would collapse , it’s the profit you are making out of Ghana that would collapse.

Anyway, they want you to get out.
