There is no special skills for having a first class, you just need dedication, time and be smart.

Most first class students are good crammers, in my opinion tho

Na dem dey rush us....... But the secret is simple.... Since most 3rd students already know what they will graduate with, they start very early most times even while still in the university. They could decide to become entrepreneurs or get jobs that pay little or nothing at first but take note they start getting the needed experience needed to succeed in a work environment. In time they are so experienced in their field that their certificate or grade matters not. I knw so many people who haven't collected their results but are earning good pay and even play a big part in the employment processes in their places of work because of their experience. But the true remains that what is worth is doing is worth doing well. So if its in your power to be a first class no problem fire down but if despite all your efforts u still fall short of a good result don't give up because when doors close to you search for windows.

I had a classmate who graduated with 2-1. He would borrow books from someone and will see nothing wrong if he didn't return it. He would negotiate a shift of lectures without considering if such time is convenient for others.

But in all, he is good when it comes to academics. Such are the people we put in high places.

Thanks for this but how can someone make it in life without First Class... I know a friend who had third class but now flying First Class ticket. God help

No4 is the soooooo much on point. Cramming is their way. Though I did not make a first class, but my class mates that did certainly know I do not envy them. They know I hate cramming and they equally know I'm better than most of them. They came to me for explanation of many things they didn't understand but which they just crammed to pass.

Cramming works for them because of our poor lecturers who do not have proper understanding of what teach. In a sane clime, cramming won't help u.

You should have added that luck/favour has a big role to play in making a first class.

There are schools and lecturers you will meet and the chance of making that grade is nigh impossible.

So in the final analysis, endowment and favour are equally needed to emerge with a first class...

Op abeg leave first class n their wahala boo my guy back then "Nath" had first class all through, the guy doesn't even read at all. Always playing table tennis or at the café browsing. What I came to understand about him was he was very communicative with calculations.

While d rest of us try to just get just answers, he makes sure he explains every bit of line in his work and the reason for every answer he got.. believe me that guy has written only 3lines in a test and got 17/20 while the rest of the class failed woefully.. I managed to get 6 coz I sat close to the murrrafuckaa if u don't have it you don't have it!!! Don't kill urself joor.

I have only but one question...... IS IT NIGERIAS FIRST CLASS STUDENTS

You don't have to read from morning to Night before you become a first class graduate.

most of the first class graduate have a fixed hour for reading, between 2 to 5 hours everyday.
So, if you want to become a first class student, don't read for 24 hours..........

(2). First Class student Attend lecture : Yes, there is need to be in class always to achieve it and get it done.
Most of the student that graduated with first class can testify to my claim.
In the world of first class, you don't play with lectures.
If you want to have first class start attending lectures.

(3) First class student always want to know everything : there is a similar mentality on the head of many first class student.
Most of them will ensure all the topics discuss in their various Classes is well understand to the best of their knowledge.
If there is any topic they don't understand, they will always want to learn from others.
They don't mind to be your friend because of 1 single topic.

4) Cramming is first class best friend : No brilliant student can survive without cramming.
Although it is always advised to read and understand but if you lack the power of cramming, my dear say goodbye to first class.
Some student are first class but the manner they converse and communicate with people looks odd.
I have seen a first class student that cannot pronounce english words correctly.
The more you know how to cram the higher your chances of bagging first class.

That why I hate the school system, it only makes one a robot and nothing more if you decide to play by her rules. Acquire knowledge for it sake and not for grades (exams), if you want to succeed or become intellectually sound.
