You have started... You have a husband you cook for, respect, a child yet you are deceiving gullible girls and women alike. I think she is using this 'feminism-ish' to remain relevant internationally. What has feminism got to do with Mary and Magdalene? 5 Likes 1 Share |

Bro you lie, those are not the words of Jesus but of Paul. Read your Bible very well, Paul clearly stated there that those were his opinions and not a law!! alBHAGDADI: 2 Likes |

What a coincidence reading this just after completing my paper on Feminism and Religion. I am so clueless on where to have it published. Perhaps we should all look at feminism in a positive angle, the fight for equality. Feminism is a movement and not a fight against men. I encourage women to actively participate in politics and governance. 6 Likes |

Religion and common sense do not mix. I can't remember the last time I saw a bible. Seeing all those verses on the first page gave me headache... saying women are inferior to men, because they don't have same physical strength. Is akin to saying the white race is superior to the black race because they have more mental strength. After all, the white man produced almost every gadamn thing blacks use. If you don't agree to the later, but you agree to the former, you are either a hypocrite or a stupid goat. 8 Likes |

alBHAGDADI: you need to calm down bro.... you sound like you're taking it a little too personal Apostle Paul wrote the letter. and prior to verse 22 Ephesians 5:21-33 New International Version (NIV) Instructions for Christian Households "21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." - this is often left out, you start to wonder why? I know why.....when you don't have control over yourself and your emotions you start to find ways to control others. 2 Likes |

WotzupNG: I think chimamanda is correct. She's not saying that men are no longer the head of the family, but that women are not to be treated as slaves or objects. She's very correct. For instance, the traditional marriage rituals insinuate that women are properties you go to the market and buy. You have to pay the seller to go with your property. And women are foolish enough to continue in these traditions. Some even brag about it by saying they're expensive, and not cheap. Can you imagine that kind of mentality? 4 Likes |

donstan18:You used to back up some of your opinions with solid logic, but this one is standing on shaky legs. There are millions of men who never did the works you listed either due to physical limitation or life choice. Look at Tinubu, do you think he has the energy to lift cement bags at building sites? Does that make him inferior to other men who can? What Adichie is saying that a woman shouldn't be discouraged or stopped from doing what she wants because she is a woman. It is all about choice. 8 Likes |

alBHAGDADI:interesting! So wives should submit......and the husband shoudnt submit too? But authoritatively holding on to his order's without an input from the wife? Which love are you even talking about too when the husband does not submit to the wive too for love sake. One thing is to read the bible and another to understand. 5 Likes |
