Of course! Many times. And I saw him played on the wingers on those occasions.

Did u see their last two matches against Roma and Juventus respectively? When he was subbed in, was he playing on the wings? Go to whoscored.com to check it urself since u didnt see the matches. In those two games, he came in and played as the undisputed number 9. I saw the two matches with my korokoro eyes, and if u doubt it, visit whoscored.com livescores of those two match days.

My Africa Best XI at the moment

GK- Andre Onana

LB- Faouzi Ghoulam (when fit)
CB - Kalidou Koulibaly
CB- Mehdi Benatia
RB - Serge Aurier

DM- Wilfred Ndidi
CM- Naby Keita
AM- Hakim Ziyech

LWF- Sadio Mane
CF- Pierre Emerick Aubameyang
RWF - Mohammed Salah Ghaly

Substitutes:

Normally I would have 12 as subs as I imagine it to be my best 23 man African squad.

Some of them would be as follows:

- Yaccine Bounou (GK)
- Achraf Hakimi (RB)
- Jean Michael Seri (CM)
- Wilfried Zaha (LW)
- Eric Bailly (CB)
- Idrissa Gueye (CDM)
- Amadou Diawara (DM)
- Kwadwo Asamoah (LB)
- Riyad Mahrez (RW)
- Thomas Partey (CDM)
- etc, etc, etc.

How did victor moses play yesterday ?

He played 90 minutes from the right wing

Why did nobody say anything about him here or did I miss ?

Is it because he has retired from international football?

Anyway I think he is still a Nigerian
vic MO is my dawg any day anytime no matter anything and any situation..
He played well yesterday but hazard stole the show.

Of course, he was played in the CF position but he has been largely used on the wings and that is where he's more effective.

He also played as a striker at the U20. He was also a striker at Udinese.

Granada playing him as a winger has not really helped his career much. Watford should develop him more as a CF.
Exactly, Iheanacho was a no.10 b4 Mancity converted him to a 9 and in Leicester he plays the SS which is similar to 10.

Most times players do well in their natural positions.

Since Ghoulam aint fit, put Asamoah there. He has been phenomenal this season for Inter. Benatia is a bench warmer, we cant take the risk though, he is good

I edited the post, Asamoah for Rahman since the later aint fit and the former has been a hit for Inter

Osimhen, Success, Iheanacho and Awoniyi. What is the justification for the continued invite of Ighalo? Let's move forward.

#IGHALOOUT

Osimhen and Awoniyi are still far far behind Kayode, Ujah and Success who are yet to be given the chance in SE.

charlesemeka85:
Club Brugge Dutch-Nigerian forward Arnaut Groeneveld Danjuma has been handed his first call up to the senior national team of the Netherlands after making their preliminary squad for their upcoming international engagements.

Danjuma made his U21 bow for the Dutch side but immediately after the game, he voiced out his availability to represent Nigeria if called up although he did say he will love to progress through the ranks with the Dutch team.

“The Dutch national team is my dream, but I also have the African culture in me. Who knows I may play for Nigeria, I would seriously think about it if they call me, but it would be a shame. Because I want to get to Oranje”, he said immediately after the game.

Reports monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com from several sources in the Netherlands confirmed he has been handed a first time call up to the senior national team putting an end to speculations about his international future.

He was named in a squad of 31 players called up by coach Ronald Koeman for the Nations Cup League game against Germany on the 13th of October and the friendly game against Belgium on the 16th of October.

If he gets to play against Germany, the 21 year old won’t be able to switch allegiance back to Nigeria as the Kaduna State born wing forward would have featured in a competitive fixture.
the dutch shall pls cap him fast

Its not like the stadium is going to be filled up with Libya fans is it? If we were playing in Tripoli, then it would be tough.

I will pick Benatia over Gbamin. Would have gone with Bailly but Benatia still edges. Bailly has been relegated to the backstage at Man Utd too.

Hmmm if you say so

But throughout his Granada time he never played as a striker so which team did he play as a striker ? U17 World Cup right ? Or did you watch him at bj foundation?

The Success I saw in the la Liga dey miss simple goals. I know know where dey see him as clinical. U17 things.

Largely used? Please how many matches has bologna played this season to warrant that statement? Throughout this season, he has played as a number 9. Maybe when he went out on loan but definitely not with bologna in the Serie A and in the their youth team. I have never missed his game. I follow him, Ekong, Aina and to a less extent Joel Obi. Kingsley Michael would join the fray ASA he comes back to Serie A

Lol... Two of my current Africa Best XI players make the lineup. But this is from a football site shaa based on fan votes cast (just under 400, 000 of fans votes) but it's also hard to disagree with most names on the list. Meanwhile, I am sure if we dig into Africa's history of LB, we would find a name that will displace Benatia's.

Also, Rigobert Song should be at CB and not RB. That RB should be preserved for a true RB great. The list was trying to accommodate some of Africa's best CBs. No real RB or LB on the list. Lol

Isaac Success didn't play as a striker at the U20 grade. It was Awoniyi that was the main striker throughout the competition while Isaac Success was played on the LW.

Issac success never kicked one ball for Udinese then how did he strike for Udinese?

Granada started playing Isaac Success as a striker in his first season with them but after 14 games he could only score one goal hence converted to Winger.

Mind you, he played for 90 minitues in most cases.

The age of most of the voters has obviosly affected the list. I mean you can only rate Players you watched play.

How can you roll out Africa's best 11 without Abedi Pele and Roger Milla on the list.

Besides, is Enyeama Africa's all time best? I dont think so.

As in eh... Abedi Pele.. Roger Milla... Salif Keita (Malian all time great)... Thomas Nkono (GK)... Greats of Greats. But shaa, Hard to argue too with that attack. Abi who Roger Milla wan displace? Drogba? Eto'o? Weah? Lol... Sebi you see... It all comes down to personal choices shaa.

Even in Midfield, it is hard to argue against Okocha and Yaya Toure.

Rigobert Song has to be on the list too but never at RB. Like Chris said, Sammy Osei Kuffour nko? People dey even include Benatia and Koulibaly... Hahahahaha... Who are these compared to Kuffour, Song and Taribo West at CB in an all time list? Na wa... But shaa, opinions differ. Lol...

Tokyo 2020: A Testing Ground For Next Generation Super Eagles

Nigerian football seems to be in a good place…. or at least heading towards it.

For starters the right man is back at the helm of affairs for another 4 years

For another the awareness of the team as a brand has soared thanks in part to that exquisite jersey design from Nike, but best of all… an enormous amount of young talents of which most are conveniently under 21 are springing up everywhere.

Isaac Success should be given more starts in the league. Success might be the solution to our CF problem.

Iheanacho and Iwobi also showing improved form.

I am telling you. He is best we have now going by his game play. I have watched all his game this season..he might have some few rough edges with his decision making but I guarantee you he is way better than Ighalo...he is much smarter with his movement upfront. I'm glad this new coach is playing him as a striker
