Exactly.

How did they know the EXACT pond to search?

And we damn well know there are no cameras or satellites over that area.

This smells stronger than pocohantas' armpit.
Imagine the kind of question you are asking. Do you know what is investigation and intelligence gathering. If not that we are still underdeveloped is discovery like this a big deal.

When faced with logical questions, it is common for zombies to deviate from the subject matter and/or degenerate to insults.

Logical questions?

Where?

Certainly not from you.

Your very odious existence on nairaland is an assault on logic itself.

Nothing known or unknown can ever explain your stupidity. You're a mindless irritant, an insipid blight on the internet, a manifestation of the worst sperm in your father's nutsack.

Now, fukk you and have a nice day.

The entire village may not have taken an active part in the murder, but a number of them are complicit; they did everything to frustrate the military from finding out, not just because of the missing general, but other worse atrocities that are likely in that pool.

I can bet this has been going on for so long, and a lot of people know it. That's why the women came out protesting.

Some of course know it's wrong, but may have been afraid to snitch on their own people for fear of ostracization and even death.

This is what the beroms do; they cannot confront their nemesis the fulanis. They'd rather murder innocent motorists and cause wahala for everyone else when the fulanis retaliate.

And so far it's been a ratio of 10 lives for one single fulani life

Is it worth it? Is the price of killing one life worth losing 10?

But then... barbarians have to be barbarians.
Ok. Thanks for the further update.

murder case, someone somewhere wants powerful army Generals flushed out.... a major General, lieutenant General not to talk of full fledge General can't just go missing with his kind of security architecture, even his wife can't go missing.. with military oderly, a military driver all armed, with his access to service pistol. its easier to pick up a police DIG than for a Nigerian army General to go missing

The man was retired. Was already 'out' of the army. If d govt wants to silence anybody, they won't need to sink his car, it would have been professionally done. This is probably a kidnap attempt that went sideways and resulted in murder. The criminals prolly thought sinking the car will suffice to cover their tracks.

It happened to him shortly after he retired from the Army. So he no longer had all the retinue you listed. Though he could easily have requested for armed guards, General Alkali was reputed to be a General who moved around alone without security. And on the day he disappeared, he left Abuja for Bauchi driving alone. That was what made him vulnerable

Fresh report has it that the Joint Task Force constituted by the chief of army staff, Lt Gen TY Buratai, has found the vehicle belonging to Maj Gen. Idria Nur Alkali (rtd), at a pond in Paddock in Lafendeg Du Plateau State.

The joint task force comprising of officers and soldiers from 3 Division Quick Response Team, Operation Safe Haven, Nigeria Police Force, Vehicle Inspection Office, Fire Service, as well as local divers, found the vehicle today after weeks of searching for the missing general.

The army general went missing after leaving his house in Abuja on Monday 3/09/2018 for Bauchi where he has a farm but is yet to be found. He was alleged to have been kidnapped in Plateau state.

According to a military report, several logistics issues including the alleged sabotage from the host communities have hampered the success of the operation.

Due to the terrain in the general areas of Paddock in Lafendeg Du Plateau State, the task force consulted a Chinese construction company working in that area who promised to assist in drilling out water from the pond where it was suspected that the vehicle belonging to the senior officer was pushed into.

In the midst of this challenge however, the Task Force continued with its search and rescue operation which led to the recovery of an 18-Seater Hummer Bus door.

Do you own a car?

If you do, you should know that
Car Trackers are installed in most
cars these days.

If a car with such a gadget is stolen,
you can get its current or last location in real time
through Its GPS system.

The same way they track stolen
cell phones.

The ignorance of the perpetrators will
prove to be their downfall.

Something doesn't add up here:
Alkali was reported to have left home in an SUV; what I see here is a Corolla sedan...

Plus

I think I've seen the picture of this sunk Kwara (omu-aran) registered car somewhere before...
Perhaps, the flood disaster in Ilorin or so...

I don't believe you seriously think the Nigerian Army would sink so low as to tweet a false picture and announce the car has been found when it hasn't.

Also, it's always been said he left in a Toyota Corolla, so where your SUV narrative came from is beyond me.

So if a man dies in lagos....the Yorubas are responsible ...and if he dies in A saba,...woe befalls the deltans right?

How in the world did you know he was killed by the beroms?

1. The area is almost entirely Berom

2. The car was deliberately pushed into the lake in the area

3. The locals, who're beroms, did all they could to frustrate the search

4. It's what beroms do everywhere they have a majority

Occam's Razor....

Occam's Razor....
1. So because d locals are majorly beroms, therefore they did it (waoh) Evans d kidnapper operated majorly in lagos n Ogun states where the locals are mostly yorubas. Now ask yourself, if this your logic isn't flawed
2. Who said it was mistakenly pushed? Yes! It was pushed BY THE PERPATRATORS of d act
3. D locals protested the emptying of the lake/pond, d nig army could have sent in divers to see whats under first.
4. Where is your statistical proof or concrete evidence to back up this claim?
With comments like this, i give up on you!

You cannot exact pain on the innocent on for the sins of others.

The perpetrators should be fished out and justice should be served.
