Good Day house. Please did anyone experience delay with EA before getting an outcome. I submitted my documents for fast tracking on the 12th August, I was contacted on the 28th August for additional information which I gave to them on 30th. From then till now, it’s still on assessment in progress. I have called repeatedly and I get that’s still ongoing. Does it really take this long? Even fast tracking. I’m getting impatient. Thanks as I read your comments |

So sorry to hear that. You have to get up and keep firing. Repackage your JD to match whatever occupation you are nominating and apply for reassessment. I'm willing to help if need be. jones2014: |
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 1:43am On Sep 28, 2018 |
jones2014: For a start, why didn't you nominate agricultural consultant which is also on 189? If you can address the issues raised in the outcome letter with evidence, do it and appeal the outcome. Someone has volunteered to assist you. Goodluck. |

Tee79:thanks @Tee79, dats where the problem is, my MD is really in charge of the budget and finance, though i make little contribution where necessary. I was just being straight with the process and then i get this. @highway007, thanks sir. I am willing to give reassessment a shot once i pull myself together. I will need your help and guidance. God bless. @bellong, i didn't choose agric consultant because my current JD favoured mixed crop farmer, den 189 was going to be a long shot for me having considered all factors. I will seek for support from highway007. Thanks Sir |

Hello Fam, Greetings to all. Please what is positive skills assessment? I am 31 years old and single. Going by the first page on this thread, see my status below. Please feel free to advice me on any pitfalls to avoid. Kindly advice on the next steps 1. Check if your occupation is on the occupation list ICT Business Analysts(Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) ANZSCO codes assessed by the ACS) 2. Go to the website of the assessing body for your occupation for information about the assessment process Assessing body = ACS. Fee costs $500 Current Stage 3. Write English test. This step can come before skills assessment, it depends on the requirements of the assessing body for your occupation. Some do not require English test for assessment while others do. Proficient English(You have achieved a score of at least 7 in each of the four test components (speaking, reading, listening and writing) in an International English ) Score: L7, R6, W7.5, S8. Would rewrite IELTS 4. Once you get positive skills assessment, submit an expression of interest (EOI) here if you have minimum of 60 points for 189, 55 for 190 and 50 for 489. What is positive skills assessment?? Age = 30points Skilled employment in the last 10 years – outside Australia - 10points A Bachelor degree from an Australian educational institution or a Bachelor qualification, from another educational institution that is of a recognised standard. 15 To rewrite IELTS 5. If applying for 190 or 489, ensure a state is sponsoring your occupation before going ahead with the process. 6. After submitting EOI, wait for invitation to apply for the visa 7. Invitation received, apply for the visa and sit back till DHA finalises your application. 8. Grant received, pack your belongings and move. |

Changes to DOHA online services and visiting DOHA Dear registered migration agent Re: Changes to our online services Following on from the email sent to you on 6 September 2018, in relation to changes to our phone services, the following is information about the Department’s changes to its online services. The Department of Home Affairs is progressively transforming its online channels to allow you to self-serve for the majority of information and services. This is in line with the whole-of-government Digital Transformation Agenda, which ensures all government services are delivered in a simple, clear and easy to use manner that is designed around your needs. New Home Affairs’ website The Department is redesigning its website to make information simple and easy to find. We have listened to your feedback about our website—and are now trialling a test version of our website. You can access this test site at https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au. Please let us know what you think by providing feedback using the in-page feedback link. Following user testing and extensive client research, the new website is expected to go live in November 2018. Changes to our client service offices As we continue to invest in our digital service channels, more people are choosing our online channels first when seeking our services – and the number of people visiting our offices across the country has reduced substantially in the past three years. From late-2018, our Home Affairs’ offices will only provide services to people who have a letter from the Department inviting them to attend an appointment in-person. Visa or citizenship enquiries can be resolved more quickly online due to the new website. The vast majority of visa applications will be lodged online—or by post. However, we understand there may be complex issues that need attention in-person, and by seeing people by appointment, we can provide a better level of service. If there’s a complex issue, or the Department needs to see someone for biometrics collection or citizenship tests for example – a departmental officer will book them an appointment to either come into the office or discuss by telephone. Our Australian offices will continue to provide the following services: • citizenship tests by appointment • biometrics collection • interviews for certain visa subclasses • status resolution. |

connectgt:That centre has been offline for about three months now. Was the only one in south-south, south-east region. Had to travel to Ibadan from Warri to use Laidera. But I didn't get a good test environment because there were six persons in the small test room and we were all shouting. I bet everyone who took the test that day will fail speaking. |

Good day All, I'm new here and I appreciate the explicit information being provided by the gurus. I have been reading from Part 1 of this thread but yet to find answers to my questions. I intend to apply for PR as principal applicant and obtain the available 5 point for my hubby. However, I'm an internal auditor with ANZSCO Code 221214 and my hubby is a Fund Manager with ANZSCO Code 222312, can we possibly get a full skill assessment from VETASSES and submit EOI with me as the principal applicant while still claiming the 5 point from my hubby? I'm asking because we do not have the same ANZSCO Code and I don't know how this works. I will appreciate your kind and prompt response. Attn:bellong, Alphadoor, Jayooh, highway007 |

ogbevireo: So everyone from South south and south east will have to travel to Lagos, Ibadan or Abuja to write PTE exam. This is not good at all |
