So I was passing time on instagram (7the Sept) and stumbled upon a post by @afam_ It went something like this www.nairaland.com/attachments/7876485_img20180930wa0011_jpeg4d34aa5cc6f1c76a9cedeceefbffe2ca I used to be a videot back in the days, never missed a new movie even if I had to download a cinema copy, but since I moved back to lagos all my time was spent on work work work...... This looked like an opportunity to catchup on lost time. I clicked on his instagram profile and looked thru his posts, it was filled with a lot of 1min movie clips and movie adverts, I copied his number and did a background check on google(internet never forgets).......... Every thing looked great no disgruntled client posts or scam posts. I took another step and placed a call. As an oliver twist in the making, I opted for the movie freek 40k package  , i asked how an when I could take delivery of it, he said he was in P.H and it would take about 4days to get the hard drive and cost about 2600 extra via GIG logistics. Good one. One idiot here sometime in the past, asked why I was disturbing him for just a paltry sum of 90k which I sent to him for a Laptop. it always strikes one how we get away with all kinds of things in this country This thread is a thread opened to extol the virtues of a pirate who probably illegally downloads and most definitely illegally copies and distributes movies for profit just today a man that uploaded and distributed deadpool a while ago and was investigated by the fbi was sentenced to federal prison for piracy and gross copyright infringement Someone said the internet never forgets, Ironically that also applies in reverse Copyright laws are no joke and taken very seriously where these movies are produced. The MPAA in particular has waged and is waging war against pirates all over the world. Kim Dotcom, etc have been in running legal battles for years for piracy you may say, please what's your business, or accuse me of being guilty of the same acts and being sanctimonious maybe, but I'm only pointing out that this thread is recommending illegal practices and patting the pirate on the back someday very soon copyright laws will catch up with Nigeria and the rest of the world, this thread will be a testament to the buyers and sellers of stolen content If you think that can't happen, wake up. things are changing, fast 5 Likes 1 Share |
