It is on record that Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) singlehandedly formed ACN as an offshoot of AD. The ACN went ahead from winning Lagos to capturing Ogun State, Oyo State, Osun and subsequently Ekiti State. With special thanks to justice Ayo Salami, now retired, who was said to be Tinubu's justice merchant, anyway. This leaves Ondo as the only SouthWest state not in Tinubu's control. As a matter of fact, it was alleged that in 2011, Tinubu sold the 'franchise' to GEJ for N10 billion. Such that GEJ won in SW except in Osun, where Aregberascal was the then bride of the people. As a matter of fact, ACN franchise made inroads into North Central State of Benue.

In 2014, Tinubu decided to expand his franchise reach beyond the shores of SW and join a merger now APC. Since taking this decision, things seem to have fallen apart for the man referred to as Jagaban.

First, he lost Ogun to Amosun, then Ekiti to PDP and subsequently, Fayemi rebellion. Then he went to war at Ondo and lost to Buhari boys. Then came Kogi where his boy was a running mate to a dead candidate that won an election, yet he lost to a candidate that was sleeping on the day of election. In fact it was alleged that Yaya Bello had no voters card.

As at today, neither Oyo, Ekiti or Osun seem surely under his grip. In Oyo, Ajimobi has taken over and Osun is in fact gone to PDP. It is a matter of time. Fayemi is not under his tutelage

So, one can see the reason why Tinubu will rather die than lose Lagos today. Unfortunately for him, the forces against him are enormous. If he loses Lagos today, I will not be surprised to hear that the Jagaban has taken the easy route out.

Put simply, Tinubu's sojourn into national politics by joining APC practically made him to lose control of his cherished franchise . If Ambode gets the ticket today, Tinubu would be dymystified eternally. If Sanwu-olu wins, 2019 election will be a hard nut for APC and Jagaban. Especially selling a candidate described as not only a crack drug addict but also an international fraud star.

Such is the mystery around ambition and pride.

One thing I have discovered in this nairaland is that most (majority) of the people shouting Tinubu this Tinubu that are neither from the West nor do they live in Lagos.

How about we allow Lagosians decide for themselves instead of expressing hatred for someone we have never met or probably will never meet. (Negative vibes kill the carrier).

One question, "is Lagos the headquarter of all Nigerian states"?
How about we all focus on our region and state instead of wasting our energy negatively on something or someone that has no direct influence on us?

I do not care about your uncomplimentary comments based on ethnic bias. I own my parcel of land for 99 years in Lagos and I am a stakeholder and a strong CDA member in my community.
