from what I have seen I think Tinubu is diplomatic enough. It is no coincidence that Pedro and Obanikoro came back to his fold. I have a feeling that this insurgence against Ambode must have been brewing for a while without Tinubu's marginal effort and the persons involved are only waiting for Tinubu's signal for them to execute. I felt Tinubu might have needed to do a lot of solicitation for even him to stop this probably that is what necessitated his earlier pleads and ultimtums as earlier posted. Maybe Tinubu was like if I am going to beg the boys this guy too would have to fall in line. Ibviously, this Sanwo guy is a bridge builder. Also, from some of the things we have seen and heard it seems that Tinubu is not a dictator as we have been made to believe. It is ibvious that Ambode despite having zero political influence took most of his decision independently. Well only a fool will throw away opportunity the way Ambo did because of non performing visionscape and some cheap contract. Instead of begging people up and down, or fight dirty, why not just revert back to the master plan and sort whoever needed to be sorted while you include some of your legacy projects(bus stop and overhead) especially since the master plan has proven not to be so bad? Fasola in 2011 had to fall in line meanwhile his trouble with Tinubu sef is more of money for the boys than deviation from master plan

1. Tinubu's influence is exaggerated; without all his lieutenants, there is a limit to what he can accomplish. For instance, Banire and Fouad Oki's rebellion hurt him (however slighly).

2. You people do not know this Ambode fellow, and how vindictive he was. I know of just a few people who he hurt real bad for no good reason but being power-drunk. Imagine being humiliated out of office as a Perm Sec simply cos you served under Fashola, or your property being threatened with demolition because you are against the Governor (Banire), or your family being evicted while you are out of the country (Tejuosho), or the fences of party chieftains he demolished in Lekki.

3. I really think this is an act of God. Till date, many haven't fogiven him for what he did to the Lagos State Chaplain. He humiliated the man and his family in front of a few, God is humiliating him before the whole world.

4. These are party members voting, not Tinubu imposing. It doesn't get any more democratic than this.
