ASPIREX:/ N3-5m annually converted to Canadian dollars is not enough to support your family. So moving your family there while you hustle in Nigeria is out of the question. If you are not going with immigrant visa, how do you intend to survive? Menial jobs under the table? The only solution I can think of is for you to go first, feel it and decide if it is doable or not. But then remember that if you travel, the income you currently have in Nigeria will no longer be guaranteed. At 47, don't travel anywhere without guarantee. Such move is for those under 30. / 15 Likes |

EVILFOREST: Lol, that one option. I'm not sure it if yours is legitimate or not. What ever the case, others should know that Americans have wised up big time, If one to use them for papers , they also have to plans to use you as well. 2 Likes |

My honest opinion- starting all over in a new country can be very challenging at times. Particularly at your age. Why don't you add the 10 million naira to boost your business , I have seen a lot of homes that have been destroyed due to this idea of families being apart. Everywhere is what you make of it. You can be miserable in the USA and there are people in Nigeria that live in a room apartment that are extremely joyful The grass always looks greener on the other side until you get closer. If you were 20-35. I probably would advise you differently All the best- your age mate! 36 Likes |

murphyibiam15:Doc. Apply for CANADA immigration visa to work as a skilled staff. Apply for the family variety, that’s if you are married. However, you have to be prepared for accommodation except you have someone to squat you and your famil which is unlikely possible |

Mizwisdom:Harsh, not cool. Its not his fault that he didn't make it big on time like his mates u mentioned and life is not a race, some will start early, but end up fast, some will start late, pick up late and finish best. Some will start excellently, continue excellently but finish woefully! Some will start slowly, continue slowly and finish excellently! Some will start slowly, continue excellently and finish averagely. We all have our timing in life. Obama became president at 50s while Trump became president at 70s. Yaradua became president at 50s and died at 50s while Buhari became president at 70s and still alive. Goodluck nko Abiola nko Don't mock people. Offer advice if u can, peace 59 Likes 8 Shares |

stagger: Oga, I have lived in Canada over 5years and can tell from 1st hand experience. Let me tell you one thing today which I am sure we all relate with. Many people abroad tell you how hard it is over here and are never willing to go back home. Have you ever wondered if it is that hard truly? If you read through my other comment on his post, you will see where I wrote that even those who graduated from school here pick survivor jobs for survival pending when they get what they want. There are many immigrants who just came and landed good jobs. You might take your time to read the thread on living in Canada as a landed immigrant for better exposure. In essence, going to school here does not translate to better opportunities in all case. As for French, if you are not migrating to Quebec, there is no need to bother. One last thing though, many of us carry our entitlement mentality from back home here as such, when things seem not to be going our way, we start painting the society bad. Please, do not tell people they are wrong as you can only tell from your perspective. N.B: Canada isn't there yet compared to the US in terms of equality and job prospects however, we should remember that US is much larger and more of a capitalist system thus, they have less protectionist perspectives. 15 Likes 1 Share |

ASPIREX: Unless you get a permanent resident card of whatever nation you choose before leaving Nigeria, DO NOT ATTEMPT IT. You will regret it. Stay in Nigeria. Out of the people that did what you are proposing only a select few made it/ended up being up. Some people can no longer see their families because either the husband was refused a visa to come back in or deported. You do not want to be an Illegal in any country. I repeat, FORGET IT. Only do it if you have permanent residency of that county/Immigrant visa before leaving Nigeria. You have been warned. There are Nigerian families that are homeless in various countries all over. Did you not see the recent videos of families leaving the U.S, crossing over to Canada? Do not attempt it. Enjoy what you have in Nigeria. In Nigeria, you have family and friends that will take you in when katakata bursts. Abroad, you will be rendered homeless in less than 24 hours because everyone minds their own wahala. 15 Likes |

ASPIREX: ASPIREX: I advise you to consider either Canada or Australia as both countries currently have programs that welcome skilled immigrants only. There are prerequisites put in place that must be met. So long as you meet the prerequisites, Canada and Australia can welcome you. Trying to relocate your entire family to the US legally is not realistic at this time. Even without the prevailing tough immigration policy of President Trump's administration, you can't easily relocate your entire family to the US. There are restrictions. So consider Australia, Canada, or New-zealand. |

stagger:God bless you too. People don't understand that life is not a competition. We all can't achieve our dream life at the same time. Some will start seeing positive results in their life at later years. Some it maybe their children that will make them great. Some will be rich and favoured very early but may end up having useless children who will squander their riches on fun and entertainment while some will continue to struggle and at the end their kids will make them very great and popular. Some will be very successful but may end up having deadly illnesses and terminal sickness that will make their life a misery while some will be rich early and die untimely. Some will be poor and needy, all these things are timing and destiny, nobody can run beyond his or her destiny. Just do your best and leave the rest to God, destiny and time to decide 15 Likes 1 Share |

stagger: Like I said, until you live here, you will not understand. Its not a light hearted issue. Some people have gone back home because of this issue. There are problems everywhere in this world. Tribal issues is different from institutionalized racism. Institutionalized racism can literally impede the quality of life just based on their skin color. Statistics has shown that people with ethnic names are more likely not to get call backs than people with more white sounding names. 1 Like |
