Madam, kindly go through this thread and see how Nigerian nurses are migrating to US through sponsorship of eb3 (green card) after getting their certificates certified.

https://www.nairaland.com/2863557/nigerian-nurses-midwives-dream-working/54#62630999

Many have migrated through this route by getting eb3 visa right from here in naija.

I read through the post, on the direct paged I saw people complaining about getting their petitions petitions approved. I heard about the Avant, which is one of the most popular agencies and they have many many issues. So like I said earlier, is not that easy.

Well the reason is because the American law sees the woman as the primary caregiver .i.e the one who bath , cook , clean up , feed and general upkeep of the child . And most employer don’t accept excuse like my pikin sick today , my pikin no chop , my pikin Dey shit etc . So most nursing mothers don’t work till their kids start attending school which is the age of 3 or 4 years . So the state makes it compulsory for the man to provide all upkeep . Some bitches will not even live with you in your house which means you’ll pay your own rent and you’ll still have to pay rent for your baby mama & kids including other expenses too .

It is ill-advised to raise a child in the US for a struggling man.

And the Dangotes and Otedolas, Ibetos and Ubahs, were their parents also billionaires, or well-connected children in their own time? At some point the wealth was made from scratch, and more Nigerian multi-millionaires are being made yearly. Per capita, we have more millionaire black people than USA. Fact.

If you trace all their wealth, it was gained by political connections and fraud. Contracts gotten through connections, looted funds. Ask yourself, why don’t we have ANY Cinderella story of a Nigerian millionaire/billionaire as we do Musk, Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff. Even the so called richest woman her wealth started from a political favor. There is no LEGAL opportunity for a smart and innovative Nigerian in Nigeria that has no pedigree.

To grow your idea into a successful start up you need funds!!! Where are the loans to fund ideas in Nigeria, where the Angel investors, private investors, venture capitalist firms.?!!!!

Convert those dollar too 100 naira / $ .

Naira devaluation is what’s giving Nigerians in Diaspora the spending advantage . If you change naira to dollar to the proper exchange rate which it should be ; you’ll find out they ain’t millionaires.
E.g US dollar to Canadian dollar

He is saying the TRUTH but in Naira.
It’s in NEW YORK, that you find many million Dollar Guys. Out of every 3 New Yorker u see on the way, 1 of them is usually a million dollar owner.
U also find such in San Francisco, LA but more in the New York.

No matter how useless your Job is, u should make at least 800k in Naira every month as the poorest person with papers after Tax deductions.
House Rent should take at least 700USD monthly for the cheapest axis.
However FOOD is very very very very very very CHEAP

TRUCK DRIVERS are paid 30USD every hour. Some are paid as high as 50USD.
No be small money oooo even as a tipper driver.
Clean And well Fed Guys oooo

Lol, don't be foolish , I guess you can use that logic to feel better. A millionaire Naira is $2751.03. Please that logic is not going to help anyone. Those dollars you are earning are for the most part going to be spent in the U.S

You are a registered nurse but u don't know more about your field.

You better wake up.

Many organizations are doing it.

The most sought after nursing specialties are:

ICU
Anaesthetic
Cardiology

And if you have any of them, then your future as a nurse is bright.

Been in US healthcare for awhile, and I am yet to hear about nurse specialty in ICU, unless you mean pediatric ICU or neonatal ICU.

As for Anaesthetic, it may be very difficult for the lady in question to enroll in this graduate program, as most CRNA programs in the US require applicants to have, at least, one year of ICU (not PICU or NICU) experience.

No comment on Cardiology.

Well, I'm not foolish. I'm very comfortable. I have a great job and work with a well-known hospital as a Medical Doctor, though I'm yet to own a private hospital but I'm still working hard.

Bros it’s very risky to raise a child in the USA I no go lie you . The best is give birth to them here , when they are teenagers you can move them to naija make dem suffer small & get sense , then after secondary school move them to USA back . Most kids here fall out of track in High school, and what your child will become in future will always been known when he or she is in high school

What does Naira have to do with anything if you are living in the U.S. Your logic makes no sense at all. Unless you live here, pease don't talk about cost of living. Cost of living varies from state to state. In my area, $700 will get an apartment in a very rough neighborhood.

There are adult ICU's. Most legitimate CRNA programs require nursing experience, specifically ICU experience.

There is no ease route anywhere, one just have to go through the "pains" and eventually if the petition is approved, that would be wonderful accomplishment which I hope you'd agree with. Getting a work permit right from naija to work in the state.

In addition, you migrate with your family without any worry of looking for work upon arriving in the US. In fact that would been best route for the o.p is he is a medical field.

So, it is doable getting eb3 green card from Nigeria, not the way you portrayed it before as if is NOT possible.

The BOMB remains if you have your papers to legally reside in the US.
The Bills don’t disturb me at all.
In NIGERIA you pay Bills and still don’t get the services of what you have paid for.

LIVING an extravagant life in the US na time Bomb ooo especially when you don’t have papers

I'm not sure you know what emigration means otherwise you wouldn't have made such a statement about Nigerian billionaires.

Emigration is not visiting or schooling.

99.99% of Nigerian billionaires made their money while living and working here in Nigeria.

winj3:

Actually most Nigerian billionaires emigrated, they have homes abroad that they spend more time in than Nigeria!
Dangote and Otedola are not in Nigeria 60% of the time!

You are wise. They fall out of track in high school because of exposure to hard drugs and other vices.

I am definitely birthing all of my kids in the US or Canada for their citizenship (they will thank me later), then they will head back to Nigeria to be raised according to our culture and traditions. At 16th birthday after secondary school you will learn you are actually an American. After SS3 you can fly into amelika for university education and quality lifestyle.

If you have the kind of money that you can migrate through investment, then why not continue to make that money in Nigeria, then vacation out occasionally? Life is much sweeter that way.

The guidelines: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/immigrant-investor-visas.html

If I had assets of 1million dollars, why the hell will I waste it to immigrate? I can continue to grow my business, employ people locally, and have a much lower cost of living. People will call me sir, carry my bags for me, cook me good food, drive me around, and I can carry olosho without fear of arrest. I can attend weddings, trash talk with my friends at a bush bar, while enjoying our warm weather. If I need healthcare that I can't get in Nigeria, I will travel out. I should go to USA and pay 35% of my income in taxes? I dey mad?
yes, but it is also investing the money to earn in dollars too... Growing a brand in america, a brand that can push you into being a forb's millionaire...

Below is statistics of immigrants visa from each catergory from each country, from last year.

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/Statistics/AnnualReports/FY2017AnnualReport/FY17AnnualReport-TableIII.pdf

As you would see, only 201 Nigerians got immigrant visa though employment compared to the 3831 from immediate relatives and 2235 from family preference. Mind you the number did not break down the employment catergory but regardless it still supports my claim that is not that easy.
