Really? I have all 96 episodes of rurouni kenshin (Batto Sai), 4 animated movies and 1 live action movie that was made in 2012.

In all of these films, Makoto Shishio's body temperarure overheated and he ended up destroying himself after easily wiping out Kenshin Himura, Hajime Saito and Aoshi Shimamura at the same time.

Lord Shishio was never defeated. He reigns in Hell.
