Joebie:
Faulty generalization. All of a sudden every player with dual nationality have become Tammy.

I tire. Our two most creative players are a 31 year old Mikel who is on the wane and Iwobi. Mikel is out injured and instead of trying out another AM, Rohr does nothing and stockpiles on CM and some see nothing wrong with it.

Actually, it's not. Can you name one Nigerian born player who had a long career with the 3 Lions? They would you get country tied with an inconsequential game and then dump you like a hot eba. Yet those guys cannot learn from history.

The point remains every country is aggressive with their recruiting, but Nigeria. We are backward in everything except owambe.

If a derby county player can be called up,if chalobah of watford can be called up,then i dont see how iwobi cant be called up

Exactly Mikel is out. There was no better time than this to hand Eze a call up than packing many forwards when at the end of the day we know who that white Oningbinde will start.

You mean the way we used and dumped Aluko And other dual-nationals

I’ve said it before. The mindset that focuses on whether the player will win or lose eventually is a faulty one. We should be focusing on how we can harness our best talents. They have every right to make their choices. But the real question is what is in it for Nigeria? It’s simple just do the right thing. We should be ahead of the other country in spotting a talent and showing that we are serious.

You cannot tell me that Ebere Eze is substantially better than any one who was invited. The keyword being "substantially better". Hence, for most people on here to be wailing about his non-invite as if Rohr has committed an abominable act to me is nothing more than the rantings of idle minds. No offence shocked

I was one of the first person here to call for Ebere Eze's consideration, but I will not lose sleep over his non-invite because the players invited merit their invite.

O pari

edi287:

That one concern you. Where did I say he was the second coming of Messi?
Ebere has done well enough to be invited and he didn't - therefore I have every right to state my opinion.
Don't ever call me disgusting because you want to form "the one with a moral compass".

Ademola Lookman (Everton)

England U20

England U18

Arthur Okonkwo (Arsenal)

Nathaniel Ogbeta (Man City)
Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)
Faustino Anjorin (Chelsea)
Folarin Balogun (Arsenal)

England U17

Armstrong Oko-Flex (Celtic)

—ANS

AND THE OWAMBE CONTINUES

Sir Joebie, we can't pursue all of the above mentioned. The NFF is working hard behind the scenes. They wantbto avoid a repeat of the Tammy situation. If we bag 2-3 of the above mentioned, bi think that is enough. Even England can't cap all of them at full international level.

He did not catch small form.. He was outstanding last season and picked it up again this season. Serious people will notice.

All we needed to do was show interest.. Make the boy feel wanted.. Once this boy joins a premier league side, we will not be able to talk again.
So training with the Super Eagles isn't showing interest?

Arsenal star (on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion), Akpom, Chelsea defender, Aina, Queens Park Rangers player Ebere Eze and Sunderland's Josh Maja all trained with the Super Eagles on Monday, March 27.

I talk say make we pursue all? When we can’t even spot the best and be clearly ahead of England early, what do u call that? It’s always going to be another media drama.

"NON INCLUSION OF EBERE EZE AND BILLING TO THE SUPER EAGLES, AND EBERE BEING CALLED UP TO ENGLAND U20 SQUAD"..sorry to eagles supporters in advance

So much pessimism in one post..Smh...
So because we didn't call up Eze and Billing,we won't qualify for afcon?/
Where were Bollonh and Eze when we beat African champions Zambia, Cameroon and Algeria to qualify for world cup..

Rohr might have messed up.with his players selection, but he.knows what's at stake...

What does that have to do with anything? Does any of that amount to a cap that would keep England away? You are the same person that joined me in saying these matches were meaningless.
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Joebie: 6:57pm On Oct 05, 2018
Yes meaningless matches but shows strong intent regardless. Inviting a player to fly over to Nigeria says a lot. The Nwakalis didn’t just get one invite.

How many decades ago was that?? Ebere has improved in leaps and bounds since and should have been given at least one official call up.

Rohr should go ahead and hand Eze a late invite. As it stands he wouldn’t need a change of allegiance, but not until England caps him at the U20 level

Abi the NPFL don better pass the French League1? How many times dem don win World Cup? Give France chance una go know how far.
