Na people gather dey beg for the man. So it depends.. Some police men are extremists o especially mopol.

Numerical strength is another factor. I have seen where a patrol of Mopol numbering about 10 beat the living daylight out of 2 serving soldiers in uniform in Ph over some scruffle and argument..Till today nothing has happened..

A Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officer was allegedly brutalised by policemen during a raid at an eatery in Asaba, Delta state. The policemen were accused of beating up the senior NSCDC officer at Infinity Bar Ezenei in Asaba.

According to reports, the NSCDC officer who closed from duty on 24th September, 2018 went to eat at Infinity Bar Ezenei Asaba when Police officers from B Division stormed the area arresting and harassing customers eating and drinking.

One of the police officers ordered the NSCDC to stand up and enter their Hilux van and he requested to know the reason for his arrest and identified himself as an officer by showing his Identity card.

The police officer slapped him and four others started beating him with wood, gun butt and rod. He was on the floor shouting for help when a police officer (Senior officer) intervened and they left him.

He was hospitalised and the next day, he reported the case in his office located along DBS road Asaba and nothing was done. He reported to PPRO Delta State Police Command, he couldn't get help. From 24th September till date, they are yet to arrest the officers involved.

A friend told him about Behind Bars Rights Defenders, today he called seeking for Justice from the team and concerned Nigerians.

The Police authorities have been given till 8th October, 2018 to respond to the petition written on behalf of the NSCDC officer.

Law is law. Bro, nothing else he will do. Law is law.. Cbn convoy can not be overtaken by any convoy.. Even the infant soldier u mentioned will simply understand and ply another tooth.

We celebrate stupidity here.. We celebrate oppression.. Baba, it is individual based.. Mopol are completely different from the other normal policemen.. Most of them work in north east and go for dangerous missions too. The respect is mutual.

And as for cbn convoy, baba, they will shoot o. Anyone can pretend to be a general. Aswear, the general may have to use internal communication to proof he is really general if he is heading to someone very important.

Those guys are carrying national property. Cbn is a national property not even for a particular bank. Be sensible baba, they will shoot but im sure the generals also understand this and will not do anyhow.
Those guys are carrying national asset. They are almost 50 in number escorting cbn money on each movement plus unseen security network. That convoy no be like ur normal bank convoy o. Bro, I dey close to security network.. Calm down. It is high level security and other security sisters understand this. Those guys shot at a sitting governor bro.

I don't get it.. He is a soldier.. Bro, cbn is a national asset and a very important one. It is highly guided.. He broke the law. He was warned but he broke the law. Even his team mates will tell him he broke the law.

And also, baba, some mopol are worse than soldiers bro. I am close to the guys. I grew up among the military and mopol. Always bear in mind that cbn is not just like other banks o. It is a national property. Law is law. That is why they only use mopol for their network and those guys are trained differently. Mopol wey dey follow cbn money movemt reach 50 in number o. Heavily armed.

if they are truly strong as you claim dey are, let them use their strength on boko haram or tackle the Insecurity in Nigeria..

Let me tell you what policing is, it is in the people(though we know security tools are needed). If you go Ghana, bank of Ghana no dey carry much police follow body but I tell u, go thief the money. You might succeed but them must catch you. For UK, how many of their police dey carry gun? Yet dem dey catch bad guys.

Forget the "heavily armed ", those guys are failures. 9ja mopol when it comes to protecting banks money, it reminds me of ivory coast police.. For la Cote d'ivoire, if their mopol dey escort van, na so them go dey shoot for air as the van dey move. Rubbish people..

This is not about strength.. Shebi our soldiers are strong, why have they not won Boko haram war?

I'm sure u are quite younger than me to have made the above statement..

Many things are involved in winning a war or fighting insecurity in a society.. One of the major cause of insecurity in nigeria is unemployment.. If u have not solved that one, insecurity will continue to manifest in different dimensions..

look, I quoted you on the bases of what those mopol are doing thinking by protecting cbn money with an aggressive nature is to me a charade.

I sighted an example in Cote d'ivoire, trust me, the Nigerian mopol on protection of cbn money is good unlike how it is in Cote d'ivoire.. My point is, with all those aggressive and barbaric approach, yet the Insecurity (domestic violence, rape, armed robbery, insurgency etc) is what it is. Even Cote d'ivoire as a better record in catching bad guys than our police with their barbaric style.

And let me say this, nigeria major cause of insecurity is not unemployment but greed(both at elite and at lower) We all want a quick way to things . I have traveled within Africa and outside, African countries have high unemployment but the level of thievery(insecurity) cannot be compared with Nigeria.
