Lagos, Abuja, PH, kano and owerri airports accounts for 92% in air traffic. Enugu state local airport despite all the benefits is not even in the list. I think the aviation minister studies these stats, it actually guided his decisions so far. Very good decisions

Priority should be given to Owerri airport due to traffic than the Enugu state airport that doesn't have traffic at all. Even Okorocha has done some warehouses in his state airport but ugwuanyi is all sitting around waiting for the FG to do everything for them.
Nigeria Aviation Handling Company finished their warehouse in Enugu in 2015

Stella made a mistake which the new Aviation minister has come to correct.

We don't need Enugu state airport in the SE because we can easily travel outside Nigeria via PH. Even Asaba airport looks better off.

Abagworo said exactly this in 2013. A complete saboteur.

Besides i said that Okorocha has done some warehouses to improve his own airport. What has the clueless gbuurugburu done so far to improve the condition and image of Enugu state local airport? Nothing.

[quote author=pazienza post=71835850]

International traffic that is mainly pilgrimage to mecca and that had been bolstered by Big FG investments in key infrastructures for international operations, while every devilish tactics available, including closing down the airport over flimsy excuses of repairs in festive seasons like Christmas and Easter, had been deployed by the FG to frustrate passengers out of the airport, as if starving the airport of infrastructures is not bad enough.

Must you cry?

This is because you have not been to Ph lately. There are more Igbos in PH today than Lagos and Abuja.

NEXT biggest mall is in PH. There are so many big businesses of Igbos in Ph.

Oil serv, Nestoil, etc are all Igbo businesses in Ph.

The minister has done well so far

How many shopping plazas are in PH as against Enugu? Enugu has always been bigger PH.

I am happy as the rest of Nigeria that Sariki has come to correct the errors of Stella. We cannot afford waste at this time as a nation. No Aviation investor will invest in an airport with zero traffic like the enugu airport. Let's be reasonable for once.

Igbos investing in PH are poor students of History.

Ikwerre and Ijaw people perception of Ndiigbo has not changed.
I had lived in PH and I know this .

Even Obi of Onitsha has been preaching "Aku luo uno". PH is not our home.

[sup][/sup] Now you see why people doubt your authenticity? Do you really know the distance between Onitsha and Awka? There are three local governments between Onitsha and Awka ie Idemmili,Oyi and Njikoka. Onitsha will rather swallow and merge with Asaba and much of Idemmili north and south. Awka is a far distant possibility. Such statement from you clearly betrayed your claims and bursted you more.

That guy is more right than you, by far.
If you follow the old road between Onitsha and Awka, you will notice that they will soon meet at the same spot someday.
In fact, I heard that first from my Community Medicine lecturer, about how it's even considered in their professional circles that Onitsha and Awka will soon merge.
It's not about the distance, it's about the rate of urbanization.

My only problem is, let such urbanization be planned. Otherwise, it will be just another jungle. So, the government should step up to that reality.

We already settled this issue with a google map exact measurement and we saw that Enugu was indeed bigger in total city sprawl than PH.

I will look for that post and repost it here.

Meanwhile, it's already 5 years of Akanu Ibiam International airport ! Wow and they never missed any scheduled flight, EXCEPT when the Nigerian government mischievously closed down the airport

Market Square has like 4

Next Time has like 2

Kingsway of Nederlands has like 2

And there are several medium sized mall littering everywhere like Linjo, Widechoice etc

PH beats Enugu in number of multinational companies, businesses and expatriate living in the city. But in terms of urban sprawl, Enugu beats PH.

Enugu must learn how to bring and keep businesses in the city.

However, you can be sure that the Nigerian FG will try to frustrate every effort in that direction. They will prefer that Enugu remains a village.
