With these figures the odds is stacked against Atiku. Look at Lagos and Oyo population, both APC owned. Compare to SE, Atiku's only stronghold. 55 Likes 3 Shares |

It is not the same as number of eligible voters by ethnicity. We all know a sizeable number of voters in some regions belong to non-indigenes 279 Likes 23 Shares |

For all major states outside of SE, you should know that 10-30% of registered voters are Igbos. This is something most people fail to understand. SE registered voters is just bonus to over 15-20 million scattered in major states. 20-30% of Lagos registered voters are Igbos. One way to know this is simple...Agbaje votes. Agbaje almost won. 20% of Kaduna voters are also Igbos. This may shock sfonkas because most have never stepped foot in the North. I lived in Kaduna so I know. 247 Likes 22 Shares |

It's not the number of registered voters that matters as much as number of collected PVCs. 19 Likes |

biafranation: So why didnt this your computation help Gej in 2015? The Ibos in Lagos vote their interest, and thats their shops and market. They dont care about voting with SE. They mess up and feel the wrath from the owners of Lagos. Did you not see how after his coronation different Ibo groups were visiting to pay homage to Aare Ona Kakanfo? You will think Iba Gani Adams was head of Ohanazae. Those Ibos dont want trouble, they value their business. They will vote how MC Oluomo tell them to. Same applies with Arewa Igbo. They distanced from SE politics. How many Ibo in Lagos or Kano observed sit at home like you did recently in SE? Those Ibos no longer belong to you....they are political tools in SW and NW to buffer and counter opposition against our interests. Dont ever include them in your counts for SE again. 84 Likes 5 Shares |

SOUTH EAST Abia 1,481,191 Anambra 1,758,220 Enugu 1,301,185 Imo 1,611,715 Ebonyi 876,249 TOTAL 7,028,560 ---------------------------------------- SOUTH WEST Lagos 6,247,845 Ogun 1,869,326 Osun 1,293,967 Ondo 1,588,975 Ekiti 750,753 Oyo 2,577,490 TOTAL 14,298,356 SOUTHWEST minus Lagos 14,298,356 - 6,247,845 = 8,050, 511 Compared to the South east..7,028,560 The difference is 1,021,951. This tells you that the southwest voting strength is a myth. Lagos doesnt represent the southwest. In 2019, Lagos will be divided, while osun will vote Atiku because his wife is from Ilesha in osun state and then Ekiti, Ondo and Ogun will give atiku not less than 30-40%. With that Atiku is good to go from the south west. In this game the igbos as a people is much more important than the southeast as a region. The Igbos are spread all over the country especially Lagos and kano. They will be doing their magic with other nigerian groups esp SS and MB in those places by voting in block to divide Lagos and kano vote to not less than 35%. Once that is done, Buhari is a gonna. All Atiku need is to pick his VP from the SE, in a bid to encourage them to vote. If not, IPOB will exploit it to discourage people from voting. We shouldn't forget the " No Referendum, No Election" mantra is still active. If Atiku hopes to will this, his VP must come from SE, unless people will boycott the election which will be to PDP's disadvantage. Igbo people no kuku send Nigerian politics before. We are living fine without government and Nigerian politics, so we lose nothing. 102 Likes 14 Shares |

PaChukwudi44:Buhari has always scored beyond what Atiku has ever scored in his outing in 2007. In 2007, PMB got 6,605,299 votes to Atiku's 2,637,848 votes. In 2011, PMB got 12,214,853 votes. In 2015, PMB defeated Atiku, Kwankwaso and others in the primaries despite their dollars. He later went on to win with over 15 million votes and that figure is sure to climb in 2019. The most Atiku will get in 2019 will be 8 million votes and he will be permanently retired from politics. Mark this post, the North will use the opportunity to tell Atiku that he's not liked and not wanted. 51 Likes 9 Shares |

PassingShot:dont know what rock you're living under but buhari had a myth surrounding him as the saviour .....his winning the election was an eye opener. There is hunger in the land and this could have been avoided if the senile old man listened to calls from technocrats not to hastily implement some stupid policies. He was more interested in hurting southern interests and everybody got burned. Even mallams on bikes do not want a buhari. Atiku isnt the best option in Nigeria bit compared with the dullardeen .... hea our Donald trump. 44 Likes 7 Shares |

BabaRamota1980:Lol, your analysis is based on emotions and is absolutely naive!! There are as many Igbos in Lagos as there are Yorubas and that is the singular reason why Jimi Agbaje almost won and that is also the reason why Lagos votes is always divided almost in half during elections!! Igbos are completely homogeneous religious and ethnic wise, and are a close-nit group. There is also what is called meeting of umunna, market unions, religious and socio-cultural groups etc and other pressure groups, these are the places where Igbos outside the SE/SS always listen to. There is little or no difference between the Igbos in their home soil in SE/SS and others all-over Nigeria. Go to the Facebook page where Igbos congregate or even here in Nairaland then come back and tell me if there is any difference in the thinking of the Igbo man in Enugu, Onitsha, Aba, Asaba, P.H etc with that of the Igbo man in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna etc. All these Igbos who number in their millions outside the SE/SS will all align with those in SE/SS to give a block vote and that's a fact!!! Igbos have more electoral value than the Yorubas and that's a fact. SW is the least significant of all the region's because their votes will be divided so they have little or no difference to make. Atiku needs Igbos while also looking for ways to break into the NW and try a to get at least 40%. You guys should stop attaching too much importance to your selves because political analysts already knows what is obtainable on ground. 44 Likes 7 Shares |

The belief that all Igbos will vote against Buhari The belief that Igbo votes determine who becomes President. No. It is NW votes The belief that C.Rivers, Rivers and Akwa Ibom are not cooling for Buhari already The belief that up to 28 governors not already for Buhari The belief that Imo State, Ebonyi State and one of either Anambra or Enugu won't swing for Buhari. Buhari will win 3 states in SE The belief that the federal govt does not have "tools" to increase their favourabikity before elections including SIP, minimum wage et.c The belief that the close margin in Osun is a referendum on Buhari. It is not. It was ANGER against salary issues and sentiment for Adeleke family The belief that Wike will be compelled to work for Atiku by force. WRONG. Rivers State and Delta State are already swinging APC. 20 Likes 1 Share |

Ozibe: You do realise Buhari’s base/region has about 18M+ registered voters right? Atiku will get his share of the votes but the margin won’t compensate for the possible support he will muster from the SE. Some heavyweight politicians from the SS have also defected to Buhari’s side and that will surely translate to suppression of votes for PDP and reduction is margin The 18M plus votes from the NW region is the main problem!!!! 18 Likes 2 Shares |
Re: The Total Number Of Eligible Voters In The 6 Geopolitical Zones In Nigeria by Ozibe: 7:49am On Oct 08, 2018 |
jaybee3: The same way the NE and MB combine vote is 17M plus.. Then add SE and SS 15M plus. Then add a divided SW of just 40% which is around 6M 17 + 15 + 6 = 38M roughly Buharis only base is NW 18M and 40% SW 18 + 6 = 24M roughly The SE and SS for atiku is nothing less than 90% if PDP takes SE for VP and also are able to convince and mobilize them to Vote. MB and NE will stand for PDP 70 - 80% because of Fulani herdsmen and bokoharam. And again atiku is from the NE So tell me,what are buharis's chances? 22 Likes |
