Finally updated to miui 10 after weeks of waiting for the update to reappear. It's smooth and fluid compared to the buggy 9.6.4.0.

global version has mostly all frequency bands, supports Google play store with no China blooatware and multiple languages also has global rom preinstall by the company and support ota update, while global rom is basically Chinese version installed global rom by the retailers so as to reduce Chinese bloatware and receive ota update which often delays also to support Google play store because Chinese version doesn't support it because is against the Chinese law, xiaomi recently announced that no more flashing of global rom on Chinese version and vise versa. so global version is better though it's costlier

Hi guys,please I need help on my Xiaomi note 5. I am using a verified ROM and I have been getting updates to upgrade to miui 10 like 3 time and I ignored but decided to do it yesterday. I can remember the last update I ignored was 1.7gb and the one I later updated yesterday was 560M and rebooted my phone. I normally charged my phone to 100% and meet 100 when I wake but this morning I got 90 and I can't post pictures on my dual WhatsApp, everything keeps crashing. Please can anybody help or should I redownload from the updater?

Right now,both phones are exactly the same thing,as they both run the same global rom software and support the same OTA updates,as for lte bands,since you are not using a smile sim card,you av notin to be worried about,both phones suppprt the same lte bands which works on all major nigerian carriers,mtn,ntel,airtel,etisalat.

So it all boils down to your budget,if you can afford the global version,go for it,cos once you unbox both phones and put them side by side,there is basically no diff,
