Linsigne: Unless you intend to land in Quebec, it's not really necessary. Its good if you learn it. But you can still live comfortably in almost all the other provinces without knowing how to say "Good morning" in French. 3 Likes |

N700k . Pretty steep but I agree with you on writing exams in old age. It shall definitely end in praise. Have you thought of writing ACCA and then converting because one would not know how long this CPA-ICAN MRA will take. TEECANN: |

@TEECAN, I'm also ICAN member and i've been searching how to avoid writing exams. I was happy when I saw your post, however on checking CPA Ontario's website, it states that admission criteria for CIMA members include "Have qualified as a professional accountant by completing the entire CIMA program of studies". CIMA website also says that ICAN members with over 5 years of relevant work experience (relevant to CIMA's Practical Experience Requirement) enters directly into the Strategic level case study. A mandatory workshop must be attended before taking the case study exam. which means only the case study exam will be done but its still not the entire CIMA program of study as required by CPA. So please clarify how you plan to convert ICAN to CIMA to CPA. Thanks. TEECANN: 2 Likes 1 Share |
