emotive prejudice, statement devoid of substance and should be waved off. Your statement exposed your bias. So nacho still get bad first touch? Wake up to reality and this season. The bolded statement don sour for here so look for another thing to talk.

No be say I want bad mouth sha, but I actually made out time this past Saturday to watch Leicester vs Everton since my commitment to the forthcoming elections has greatly been reduced and quite frankly there were only two things Iheanacho did all 65mins that he was on the pitch; a pass to Vardy who was offside and that one-two with Ricardo which was converted more because of Ricardo's outstanding dribble. There was a skill that didn't come off, at the end I doubt he touched the ball up to 20 times and there was no surprise when he was subbed first, in fact there was an instance where Vardy chased a lost cause and got the ball back and then squared it back into the box thinking his strike partner kept up with him but Iheanacho had already gassed, I think he needs to work on his stamina too because at some point in the 50th minute his pressing was atrocious but then I think he has worked on his first touch because I can only remember his touch failing him three times for the entire 65mins he played. But based on that last match, Iheanacho should definitely not be benching Ighalo and/or Success. I would go with Success though

balogun is good to go

etebo, I dunno for the guy, haven't seen any spectacular performance recently

ola Aina, brain idowu good to go, tho brain wasnt good against Seychelles

ndidi has always been top notch, onazi should control the mf, I believe for his experience else he's not improving..
iwobi as an Am , sharp play maker
kalu and musa on the wings with their pace will really outsmart the defenders
Isaac success as a lone striker

Wait Ekong plays for Udinese, you know that club that developed Alexis Sanchez? Yes that club. And he is a starter like he may not even come to training for a full week and yet he will make the first eleven.

Wait, where is Ajayi playing again? Or is the championship now a better league than the Serie A?

It was not a lost cause it was a one on one that Vardy made a mess of. This was the same type of ball he gave Iheanacho in the last match and we didn't see Vardy in the picture because the expectation is a goal. The Iheanacho blame was to cover for Vardy and Maddison.

I am not sure we are referring to the same passage of play. Vardy missed a one on one in the first half yes, that one Iheanacho had no business there. But towards the end of that first half, it was just a hopeful ball forward which he got to and he was closer to the line of the 18 yard box than he was to the goalpost and the defender was clearly tight on him, in fact that he managed to get to the ball first to pull it back was rather commendable but Iheanacho had already stopped his run. He did it again in that same match BT the memory of that passage of play is hazy now

Yeah, Aaron Ramsey’s goal was cool, but did you see Alex Iwobi’s nutmeg?

At Craven Cottage on Saturday, we were treated to one of the moments of the Premier League season. Then, about half an hour later, Aaron Ramsey scored A Quite Good Goal.

Ramsey’s strike might be what most people end up talking about, both after the game and in months to come, but the man replaced by the Welshman was instrumental in putting Arsenal in a position to toy with Fulham like a cat with a ball of yarn.

When Unai Emery was appointed as manager, there were people who couldn’t see a role for Alex Iwobi in Arsenal’s first team under the Spaniard. Now, though, he is doing things like this and making us wonder why we ever doubted him.

When Iwobi gathers the ball on the left flank, he is already preparing to nutmeg someone as soon as a suitable target comes into shot.

He knows this. Alexandre Lacazette knows this from his position in the penalty area. Bernd Leno knows this from the Arsenal penalty area. Aaron Ramsey knows this from the bench. Ten of Fulham’s starting XI know this. Cyrus Christie does not.

Perhaps he would have done if he was paying closer attention to Arsenal’s victory over Qarabag in the Europa League, when we were given a taste of things to come.

Iwobi is simply a man who loves nutmegs. He sprinkles nutmeg on top of his cappuccino. He mixes it in with the eggs for his omelettes. He throws it liberally on all of his laboured metaphors.

In Azerbaijan, we saw Iwobi actively dancing away from goal purely to open up an angle to nutmeg Dzon Delarge, to the point where the move sent him back to where he began. Necessary? No, but in many ways yes.

At the very least, Christie ought to have been aware of Iwobi’s goal in Nigeria’s victory over Argentina back in November 2017. By which I mean the half-second before that goal, when Iwobi turned Javier Mascherano into a ghost.

Mascherano might have lost some of his pace in recent years, but he remains a formidable opponent when facing you. At least he did before this moment – afterwards, he played just twice before leaving Barcelona for Hebei China Fortune, because there are few better things to remind you your time at the top is near enough done.

It’s not that Iwobi pulled down Mascherano’s trousers with the nutmeg. It was more a case of subtly removing the veteran’s belt like a magician with the tablecloth trick, leaving his opponents’ slacks to drop to his ankles with no resistance.

Cyrus Christie is no Javier Mascherano, but he’s still an experienced footballer. He’s an Irish international who travelled with his country to Euro 2016. And yet, thanks to the work of Iwobi, he is legally obliged to reset his career and start again, relinquishing all of his previous achievements.

His mistake, as is often the case in these situations, is thinking he is in control.

Christie might start out planning to stand Iwobi up and prevent a cross, but he is then presented with that little glimmer, enough to convince him the ball can be won. Of course, the ball cannot be won. It can never be won. And yet defenders will never stop trying.

It’s rare that we see a man backpedal while still technically moving forwards, but that’s what we have here. Upon beginning to process what is happening, the right-back turns from a professional footballer into a child learning to roller-skate.

Some will argue Iwobi’s actions were useless due to the lack of end-product, that the one against Argentina was more impressive because it ultimately resulted in a goal, but claiming the skill was useless without a pinpoint cross to round it all off is missing the point entirely.

But then these are probably the sort of people who didn’t think it was necessary for me to write 1,000 words about Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s nutmeg a couple of months back just because it was in pre-season.

They are wrong on both counts, of course.

Iwobi didn’t need to follow it with a pinpoint cross, or even a cross at all. He could have stopped, put his foot on the ball, sat down and clapped Christie back to his feet before beating him again, and he would have deserved the same response.

He could have booted the ball out of play, slowed to a walk, removed his shirt and faked to offer it to Christie before handing it to another, more deserving player instead.

Referee Paul Tierney would have been legally obliged to stop the game there and then, send the other 21 players home and award the game as a 3-0 win to Alex Iwobi.

Aaron Ramsey’s goal will be shown over and over, and rightly so, but in order to set the tone for a 5-1 victory you need to toy with your opponents and let them know you’re doing so not because you need to but because you can.

This can come back to bite a team, and indeed it has with Arsenal in the past, but moments like this provide enough motivation that if you concede an equaliser – as was the case with André Schürrle’s first-half strike – you have the tools to turn it back on again and threaten at will.

Early in Alex Iwobi’s career, the words ‘nephew of Jay-Jay Okocha’ followed him around wherever he went, and this may have brought some expectation that he might do as a youngster what his uncle was able to achieve at the end of a storied career at the top.

He might not have it all yet, and he might never reach the very top of the game, but he will always be fun.

I am referring to when Vardy squared the ball. Gorgeous long ball by Ndidi btw.

Vardy was just not sharp enough he took to long to look for his shot and that gave the defended time to close in on him. I look at it as Nacho figured Vardy should score that ball.

I look at players' individual ability, not clubs and leagues.

Ekong, with all due respect to him has not been very superb with us in recent games. Inaccurate passes, poor set-piece defending, occasional dangerous marking e.g the PK against Croatia. And his height isn't exactly helping matters. I've watched a couple of Ajayi's games and I think we should try him.
. Ekong is 6'3. That's tall enough for a defender.

Rohr's decision to continue using Shehu at RB is plain stupidity .
Shehu was only drafted to the RB role due to our lack of option in the role.. Now we have enough of them and Shehu doesn't play that role at club level....

It would be a serious disgrace to Aina if Shehu mounts that right back again. Shehu has barely played 90mins this season.. How is he going to be sharp all through..if Shehu does start, that would prove a lot of ppl's point why they call him white Onigbinde..

Shehu doesn't have the right delivery for a RB. can't make proper crosses(I know sm ppl would refer to the Zambian game where iwobi scored). He only helps keep possession along that right channel..he is not a good offensive outlet for a RB knowing this Libyan team would stay defensive a lot. Putting Shehu in the starting lineup would clearly emphasize Rohr can't move this team forward. We need a coach that can maximize the potential of all the talent we have these days..

Players like Cavani, Chicharito, just proved to the whole of Europe that catching all the European silverware isn't going to give you the world cup. The world cup is a different ball game entirely. Club football is also different as well. The lane separating them is as wide as the edge lanes of a 8lane highway.

Ronaldo and Messi are out. Forlan played a big role in the way Cavani plays today. He didn't rush after top Europe's trophy but was a beast when the world cup started. I'd like a Nigerian manager to take one rookie and understudy everything about Cavani and Chicharito to me and mould him to be like either of them and see what comes out.

We don't have the calibre of the Argentine team yet see how they struggled. And see how the game of like meets like ended. France conceeding 3goals from that wack Argentine team. We wouldn't have done that bad. France would sweat to score 2 from us.

If I wanna use this to diss Messi and ororo now that they aren't world class legends now, na argument grin

Let them keep winning all UEFA for all I care. The world cup is a different and wide margined ball game!!!!!

Too Bad: Ola Aina – Having impressed in a left wing-back role in recent gameweeks, Walter Mazzarri handed the impressive Aina a chance on the right side for the visit of winless Frosinone. The Bull secured a 3-2 win against their tenacious opponents, and the loanee yet again failed to impress on the right flank – a somewhat ironic run of events, given he’s naturally a right-sided player. He was defensively loose and came out second-best in a plethora of his battles, while being prone to giving away needless fouls. Having seen his side throw away a two-goal lead in six minutes (58 and 64), Mazzarri hooked off the unimpressive wing-back in the 65th minute.
