This well documented case study on Atiku, from a very authentic source is to say the least, disgusting! So what next?EFCC? ''Abubakar Case History. From 2000 to 2008, Jennifer Douglas, a U.S. citizen and the fourth wife of Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and former candidate for President of Nigeria, helped her husband bring over $40 million in suspect funds into the United States through wire transfers sent by offshore corporations to U.S. bank accounts. In a 2008 civil complaint, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that Ms. Douglas received over $2 million in bribe payments in 2001 and 2002, from Siemens AG, a major German corporation. While Ms. Douglas denies wrongdoing, Siemens has already pled guilty to U.S. criminal charges and settled civil charges related to bribery and told the Subcommittee that it sent the payments to one of her U.S. accounts. In 2007, Mr. Abubakar was the subject of corruption allegations in Nigeria related to the Petroleum Technology Development Fund. Of the $40 million in suspect funds, $25 million was wire transferred by offshore corporations into more than 30 U.S. bank accounts opened by Ms. Douglas, primarily by Guernsey Trust Company Nigeria Ltd., LetsGo Ltd. Inc., and Sima Holding Ltd. The U.S. banks maintaining those accounts were, at times, unaware of her PEP status, and they allowed multiple, large offshore wire transfers into her accounts. As each bank began to question the offshore wire transfers, Ms. Douglas indicated that all of the funds came from her husband and professed little familiarity with the offshore corporations actually sending her money. When one bank closed her account due to the offshore wire transfers, her lawyer helped convince other banks to provide a new account. In addition, two of the offshore corporations wire transferred about $14 million over five years to American University in Washington, D.C., to pay for consulting services related to the development of a Nigerian university founded by Mr. Abubakar. American University accepted the wire transfers without asking about the identity of the offshore corporations or the source of their funds, because under current law, the University had no legal obligation to inquire.'' https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/FOREIGNCORRUPTIONREPORTFINAL710.pdf 1 Share |

Atiku was not corrupt when Buhari was using his private jet for campaign. When he banked roll Buhari's 2015 election then he was not corrupt. Leave Atiku for us we like him like that. If USA doesn't want him, let him go to China. 2 Likes |

Atiku cannot go to US. All he’s loot is here in Nigeria and it’s benefiting over 25,000 Nigerians. If all the politicians that looted invest half of what they steal in Nigeria the way Atiku did, things fit no bad reach this level. Buhari that went to US, to show that he can go to USA, Wetin be the end? Trump described him as lifeless and I can bet my balls Donald said it. Atiku is a better than Buhari a 100 times - Creation of wealth - Sharpness of Mind - Healthwise ( I never knew Atiku was up to 70, if not of Nairaland) - Detriablised 2 Likes |

KanwuliaMama: Am I stopping you form voting for him? Since you say its old story how come since 2006 till date which is 12 years, Atiku has been running away from USA? Even on 30th June this year he boldly said he is ready to go to USA whenever he is invited to come. SINCE WHEN DOES A GREEN CARD HOLDER LIKE ATIKU NEED AN INVITATION TO GO TO USA? In the same June he was invited to Washington DC as a keynote speaker in an investment conference, he suddenly said he is not going. The conference was to hold from 24th to 26th of June this year. He is a wanted man in USA and knows it. Since when did going to America become a mission to the moon for someone like Atiku?

KanwuliaMama: You are distracting yourself and thus cannot see that Nigerians have long voted since 2015. We voted against corruption and that norm has not changed. Come 2019 we will be voting against corruption again which Atiku represents especially since he is coming forward on the same corrupt platform we voted out in 2015. You guys never learn |

Nigeria is a Sovereign Nation It is subservient to base your decision on the character of a Presidential Candidate by speculating on the views of a foreign Nation about that person. It is quite embarrassing and timid to say the least Atiku and Buhari is the same, we can make endless allegation of corruption against them but yet none has been convicted by a court. So we can either call them both corrupt? or we obey our constitution and adjudge them innocent until proven guilty 1 Like |

Atiku has been out of office for 12 years 4 years ago he was an ally of the current government who enjoyed his support to win election did they not realise at that point that Atiku has cases of corruption hanging on his neck? This government of Buhari have no credibility on this subject. Let us focus on the economy please 1 Like |
