Abusive men tend to be very manipulative. Hit her across the face this minute, then get on their knees the next. Acting all remorseful, swearing on your grandmother's grave you didn't know WTF came over you. Then promising to spend rest of your existence trying to make it up to her.

Of course she'll fall for it everytime cos they will always want to see the good in you. To be the one that tames that monster. It's their ultimate ego trip.
In that single act of abuse, he's managed to stir up a roller-coaster of emotions in her. Abuse, Anger, Pain, and then Love. Notice how it all ends up in love huh? love conquers all you see.. yeah hence why they keep coming back, not for the abuse nah, for the events which pan out post-abuse.

Cuz they are stupid!

They go back because they love weak men. You need to see where a woman beater is begging his woman. He promises heaven and earth, sometimes the kneel down and do all sorts of rubbish just to show they are sorry. At that point the woman's power comes into play, she decides whether to forgive or not. Because they exploit these weak men, they kept going back. The weak men kept beating, kept begging, she keeps using her power to forgive and the drama continues.i no de vex, that makes my women very frustrated

Laziness

Exact reasons differ from woman to woman but they include in no particular order:

Economic dependence on the man, fear of the unknown, believing he can change him, feeling guilty that reasons for beating is her failure/shortcoming, low self-esteem, culture/what people will say, being used to the guy/attachment, sex, feeling that the man is in control, have kids together already, threat to harm her/her kids, religion, etc.

Most women who have a good income and or come from a rich/influential and supportive background will not tolerate abuse long term. At least in modern times.

But still it's complex to understand why even the most vulnerable/weak lady would tolerate some very vicious abuse for so long.
