baby124: This is why the SE is still politically and socially irrelevant and disposable, their leaders starting from ZIK before independence are not smart, they are politically and strategically weak and collectively shallow, they are also very shortsighted because they can not see or reason beyond emotions and sentiments. Political players outside their borders run circles around them, they manipulate and use them because they know how inept SE leaders are, even the ones on NL ranting all over the place are in the same boat, they are totally void of sane, realistic and rational thoughts. 10 Likes |

Fxwarrior: you can say that again when your brain can't accommodate a psychological wider range what's sensitive in that babysit talk. so Tinubu should leave his party because of one confused party that don't know in a Nigeria they used region and religion to vote, they're expected to pick candidates where the incumbent govt candidates came from if you Igbo are Buhari's VP, would you've vote if atiku pick southwest as candidate? 1 Like |

safarigirl:Don't play this politics of tribe and ethnic group. It's the norm but don't get into it. So long as this politics of tribe and ethnic group continues along the lines we have it now Igbos will never get what they want. Can't you guys see it. The numbers are like magic now and the Yorubas and Hausa Fulani use it to play you guys like a dog chasing it's tail. The best bet for the Igbos is to stop running along this road and push for an alternative whereby local politics takes precedence in all ramifications over national politics such that the presidency becomes an empty basket. The best bet of the Igbos is to strongly push for a restructured Nigeria whereby the centre is drastically reduced in significance. Atiku has dangled the carrot of restructuring and many are buying into it. I am a strong advocate for restructuring but I don't think Atiku will do it in the way it is thought. What he might do is to devolve more power to the states than they currently have. But even that is a significant gain. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. 1 Like |

The igbos saw the PDP VP as their birthright and a natural thing in 2019. They didn’t foresee what is unraveling.- no plan..no strategy..no foresight. They were busy causing problems for Buhari with their Biafra madness They are beginning to see themselves as natural owner of PDP where the SW should always be marginalized. They were happy when the SW was denied the chairmanship of the party and that is coming home to hurt them. An Uche cannot be the chairman of the party and a Obi or Ngozi the VP. How they keep failing in this simple political calculation is amazing. Maybe the Igbo man natural greed to have everything is playing a part in their politics 7 Likes |

If I may ask, what type of job atifkunating was doing before he became the vice president of federal republic of nigeria I think a custom officer. How much was he earning then as a custom officer? Ategberoson: Can we leave out sentiments and tribes and tell ourselves the truth? Is the economic situation of things in Nigeria okay by you? Okonjo Iweala was appointed Worldbank president, do you stop to think just for a minute to understand what that means. If she was incompetent, would that be possible? Now think for a moment if she brings that experience to turns things around for the better for you, your family and unborn children. Wouldn't that be good for everybody. Rotaract: The 4 way things of the things we say, think or do. 1. Is it the truth? 2. Is it fair to all concerned? 3. Will it bring goodwill and better friendship? 4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned? Obasanjo, a south westerner has been in power for 8 years. How can south west talk of marginalisation? 2 Likes 1 Share |

Fxwarrior: NOI was a national disaster. someone of her calibre can't even advise the president on repetition of budget deficit in gej govt which she was the finance minister. her economic achievement was a mere paperwork record at it that Nigeria external reserved that he took OBJ despite corrupted to built went down under her nose international recognition doesn't cohere. with national development. this administration might not be getting it right yet but NOI is not a good candidate to settle with leaving the economic talk, no sw will vote for north/east ticket. it will rather build the strong alignment btw Hausa and Yoruba. Igbo can only be president and VP through incumbency aid as Hausa don't have political trust for igbo 5 Likes |

Buterflyle0:Safarigirl sorry for the mentions but I just want to drive my point home. As far as it's national politics resting on a game of numbers it's always going to be magic for the Igbos. If you guys chase it to the North, the thing will run south, if you chase it to the south it would run North. And always it would be outsiders (just like this butterfly is doing now) who would be telling you guys 'if only you do it like this, if only you had done it like this'. You guys will never be able to get your bearing as far as national politics is concerned even more so because somehow Igbos have become schizophrenic with the clamour for Biafra which has riven the Igbo soul into two. Best bet: stop the race and push for a restructured Nigeria. 1 Like |

Daewang:You made your points and they are facts. I stand for change. If South west VP is a solution to rescue Nigeria from APC evil destruction let them have it. Patriotism should be our first interest. The truth , Yorubas will pocket the position and still betray PDP. The question remains; are Yorubas not experiencing the hardship in Nigeria? Do the buy petrol different price from PDP members? Their prime reasons is osinbanjo VP and decisions made by Tinubu. We are in the situation together. |
