transcript from imsu is 40k , my elder sister paid $275 Canadian dollars for the verification with her debit card over there in Canada. Paid for my transcript 5th Sept thou they are yet to email it to ices but promised to do so next week.
Why would she pay 275CAD when she should have paid $226CA and use her Canadian address? Tell her to change the address and ask for a refund.

@ ChandlerBing: I agree with you that this should be kept out of public fora to avoid undermining most documents coming from Nigeria.
However, the aspect of looser and under achiever is what I don't agree to. We do a lot of things without even knowing what the implications may be later. because we don't have many things to fall back on in the country, most of us work on what we can get now without thinking of tomorrow. That is because of the environment we have found ourselves but I will advise anybody that has this issue of discrepancy in DOB to find solutions to it on his own. It does not make you a looser or an under achiever. The circumstances differ and solutions will differ too. The truth is that you will not get a solution from this forum. That is my own personal opinion.

ChandlerBing:
All these fake age questions should stop please. Did you consult us before you falsified your age? Leave us all out of it and sort out your own mess.

You people are bringing undue scrutiny to Nigerians. Making a mockery of sworn affidavits and NPC birth declarations.

Personally, I believe everybody who has ever had a cause to lie about or to conceal their age is an underachiever and quite frankly a looser.

Hello people, thank you for the resourceful pool we have here. My worry is about my pof. I have a family of 5 and I am the PA coz hubby's age won't favor us as much. We intend using gift deed from hubby's brother. He had planned on sponsoring my 1st year Canadian studies before now but I just reasoned since I'm eligible for EE, let's convert that to pof and follow EE instead. Will this be a good enough reason when the time comes or I should tell him to transfer the money to me now so it can sit in the account for up to 6 months or I invest it in TB? Will I have to explain the lump sum in this case? I am about to start eca and write ielts soon, so I can wait the 6months to avoid stories that touch.
Please help, I'm worried sick. I don't want any misrepresentation. Thanks

Why won’t you just take out time to read this thread? Especially page 1.

All these questions you’re asking have been answered in so many different ways.

Do people stumble on a thread and go ahead posting without reading up a bit first?

Is it bad to ask questions? I for one hate it when people tell others to go read from page 1. If you can't answer their questions, simply ignore. If you can and you think the question has been answered some pages before you can do well to look it up and then answer with a link to that page. Imagine being on page 389 and dwelling on page 1 info. Things change sometimes and we all know that. Plus people are busy with other things in life too, not just Canadian immigration.

Saying this undermines the efforts of the people that took their time to put those information in page 1.

The people you are asking these questions acquired the knowledge by seeking it out, are you telling me that they are not busy with their lives? Or they eat and breathe Canadian Immigration 24/7?

How do you expend money and time on a life changing decision based on hearsay and no research on your part?

Would it kill anybody to read the first 10 and last 10 pages if they are feeling lazy?

Na wa for una.

See I think he has rendered the best help to u. Reading page 1 is very invaluable. The benefits u wud gain far outweighs the response u wud get. There is a reason why a lot of seniors refer people to page 1.... not just that, they ensure to keep the information up to date as much as possible. Pls don’t take it wrongly. Besides, it’s not cool that u are asking for help and making comments such as “people are busy with other things in life too, not just Canadian immigration”. Don’t forget that people that u want to respond to u are also busy with their own stuff and have also taken time in the past to read from page one. Myself, I read all the way from part 1 till I caught up with part 4. I wish u the best.

What do you mean by some people are busy doing other things in life not just Canadian immigration. That's quite rude though those that have the info also have better things to do rather than answering questions that do not concern them. When you are less busy with the other things of life sit down open your laptop and Wi-Fi and do some more research

This thread can be a funny something. People come and get some knowledge. Next is to attack people who are referring others to page 1 and then do a 'hit and run'. I have rarely seen the monikers of those attacking page 1 referrers give back to the thread, answer people's questions and add to the body of knowledge.
I believe people can do waka-pass, but don't attack people referring you to where you can get the best knowledge. If people don't have the time to do research by themselves, the next best thing is to get an agent.

Asking questions is not bad. However, page 1 of this thread is very robust as some wonderful people have put on a lot of effort to make it so. Also note the page 1 is quite up to date. And anyone that reads and understand page 1 very well can even was for an agent

Page 1 is not a bad idea at all as it is encompassing.

I just mentioned few pages back that ICES is very fast, that mine took 5 weeks for the entire process.ICES does not do back and forth verification like WES.Let your school send your transcript through their official email address or they send it through courier to ICES then on your part, you scan and upload your coloured certificate and international passport to them through email.
hello @veleta sorry to bother you again, please at the stage where I will put address of where the second copy of ECA report will be sent to, do I have to put IRCC's address or ICES automatically sends to them?

Chai!!!!!!!!! Is this your comment for real or you are just kidding?
You don’t want to be referred to a secret goldmine of information; that is so sad. Humble yourself and go to page 1 for your own good. Hate or dislike page 1, then you are not keen on this journey yet, as you are either ear dropping here or just spying here. As page 1, certainly have the information you seek and even beyond what you seek.
Humility and patience are both essential virtues we all must learn on this journey, either directly or indirectly.
Enjoy your busy schedule outside Canada immigration and also allow others to enjoy theirs too, as no one is paid here to provide answers to anybody’s questions.
Goodluck to you.

I am sorry my question brought up friction here. I have read page 1 actually, but probably got lost with lthe links and missed the part that provided answer to my question. i will check it out again. i must say page 1 is rich and i do not take the effort of those people who prepared it for granted. Hi All.

Long post alert!

Its PPR guys. Yes o, after 7 months, London VO has freed me.
AOR: 4 March 2018
MEP: 13 March 2018
ADR 1: 19 Sep 2018
ADR 2: 2 Oct 2018
RPRF : 5 Oct 2018
IP2 : 9 Oct 2018
PPR: 9 Oct 2018.

In January 2018, Hubs and I decided to apply for Canadian PPR. I am the primary applicant, and I have a foreign masters degree, so WES evaluation was pretty easy.
A day after we entered the pool, we received our ITA.
I always knew our application would get sent to London. It was a feeling i couldnt shake.
On 21-Mar 2018, i got a "how to get a job in canada email".
Chai, i knew we had entered 1 chance grin

I called hubby and told him my worst fears had come true. But he was still trying to give me hope. The email is not a guarantee of transfer to London. I said ok o..make we dey see.

In May 2018, we called IRCC, and they confirmed that in deed on that day, our file was transferred to LVO.

July 2018, i sent LVO an email, asking for an update on my application, their response was i was in a queue waiting review.

Sept 4 2018, exactly 6 months after AOR, i sent Ralph an email. Asking for an update. He responded that although my file was initially reviewed on 7-Aug, nothing had been started.

Chai!!!! 6 months, nothing. I wont lie, I cried.

19-Sep-18: LVO sent me 8 ADR requests. Yes, O, 8!!!!!

We compiled and submitted everything on 25 of Sept.

2 of Oct, another ADR. This time, 1 year bank statement for my salary account.

We submitted the one i generated from mobile app, including reference letter from the bank, 12 months payslip, and updated POF. (the last 3 were to be sure they had everything o).

On 5-Oct, we received RPRF request. That day, i knew it was only a matter of time.
Family members were already dancing and jubilating o..Hubs and I were still waiting for PPR, before we dance sha.

12pm today, it came o....

Finally!!!!

Please help me thank God o. He has been in charge from the get go.

Did i mention that the second ADR came from Lagos office.. Yes o, Lagos immigration.

Only God knows how and when Lagos became involved in my case.

It sha ended in praise!!!

Congratulations! !!

Your PPR story struck an emotional string in me. I'm so happy and grateful to God it ended in praise.

Also, your colllective familial patience and calmness saw you all through as a unit in one piece. Most would have lost it...with that prolonged wait and multiple ADR bullets...are you kidding me! grin

Accept my felicitations once again.

Go flourish in Canada, fulfil destiny and do God proud.

Its PPR guys.... I am a silent follower. Been following since 2016 and this thread taught me almost everything about the immigration process so thanks to everybody and may you all get a PPR.

AOR - March 19, 2018
IP1- March 23
MEP- April 17
IP 2- Sept 17
ADR - Sept 21-Height and eye colour request ( submitted immediately)
PPR- Oct 9

My journey started in 2016 when my husband's cousin told me about it but she advised me to use an agent. When i contacted an agent and he told me to bring 3000 dollars, i just knew there was no way my husband was gonna agree to that and he was also not ready to do any research so i just dashed myself brain and started researching on Nairaland straight.. knew i could get almost all the information i needed here.
I wrote ielts twice and still didnt have 8 in listening so husband decided to be the primary applicant since he had more work experience than me anywayz. He wrote 4 times and kept having 6.5 in either reading or writing. I was so frustrated because i was pregnant and really wanted to have my baby abroad and husband had told me to either choose using our money to give birth in the US or to pursue the Canada immigration plan, i chose the latter because i thought i could give birth in Canada and the whole family still gets to become permanent residents but God was just doing Yimu for me i guess. Anywayz, our point was sitting at 411since last year and when the cutoff points were reducing last year, i was very hopeful that it would get to 411 and one of the most painful days of my life was when the draw was out that day and it was 413 ( this is because the draw was following a particular trend, reducing my 4 to 5 points). I cried that day enh, i couldnt just be strong any longer. To cut the long story short, i advised my husband to go through the provincial route and that was the beginning of another torture...... watch out for part 2 ( ghen ghen ghen ghen) heheheh

While I understand your frustration, I believe there’s a manner you can express such frustration without necessarily attacking the personalities of people you don’t even know based on a challenge they have. Do you know why the DOB differ? Did you ask? I joined this platform because of how receptive and warm people here are and I have referred a lot of people afterwards( I started from thread 1,page 1).
If your opinions border on rudeness people will stop asking questions.
Please correct with love and be guided.
